Wire piercing probes lack a nut or collar to keep the white case and probe on the wire once it is installed. Which in turn render them useless.

I was going to buy some new probes and came across this kit. It includes everything I need for test probes, alligator clips, pins etc.. And the price is very reasonable. If you are doing electronic stuff quite a bit and find yourself cutting off pieces of wire for test harnesses, this is the solution you are looking for. Very reusable, adaptable, and affordable. Great buy!

I love this accessory kit. I use it primarily for working with electrical projects. I love the assortment of tips you can add to the cable. I also love that you can color-coordinate the ends with the wires, which keeps your connections straight. There is nothing worse than having to retrace a wire you just connected to figure out what it is supposed to do. This kit is super handy for automotive or electrical work.

I've been working with electronics for a long time - and I've never needed this selection nor this many probes - and especially not with this low quality (high impedence, vending-machine production quality). The banana cables aren't much better. I've got this set sitting in a gear bag with other random cables for when "I just need to connect A to B" - but I would definitely not use these for accurate measurements or any applications at the high end of their purported ratings. For the price, personally I think I'd just buy some wire and some banana / alligator terminations and make my own. These are dollar-store quality for a hardware store price.

The quality of this kit is fine. However, it is missing some much needed parts, double ended banana plugs. Without the double ended banana plus you can't use any part of this kit except the alligator clips which have banana plug ends. All of the other parts are useless without double ended banana plugs. You need them for each part in this kit. I can't figure out why they would include the alligator clips etc. and not double ended banana plugs. What would it have costed them another $1 to add them? For that simple reason this gets 4 stars. The other parts seem of decent enough quality though. I ordered double ended banana plugs so I can use this kit in the future.
