These little temperature loggers are awesome! Very simple to use despite the instructions on the label being wrong. Turn it on my holding down the button for 5 seconds. There's a 30 minute recording delay which is somewhat annoying depending on how you're planning on using these. Turn it off by plugging it into your computer to generate the log as an excel file and a PDF. Holding the button again for 5 seconds does nothing despite what the directions say. I also have a Frigga M2H which is reusable and customizable using the Frigga software on your computer. If you're not trying to fit these loggers in tight places, the M2H is the one to get (unless you're worried about losing it, it's more expensive). It's just bigger.

Therefore in the shop I have three Tupperware containers with three different grit waterstones. One of them is a very expensive stone made from a certain quarry in Japan. It is pricey because it is so rare. Unfortunately, if that water freezes, it can crack that very expensive stone. This winter when we leave for an extended time, I want to know if my partially heated woodshop stayed above freezing. I'm going to use one of these. For only $10 that's a bargain. Once you fire it up, you're good for either 100 or 200 days logging, depending on the logging frequency you set. So obviously, I can't test it out till I use it, because once started, you can't turn it off. I will re-evaluate when I use it. In the meantime, since Frigga seems like a professional high end company, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt up front and for NOW, give it five stars.

This review is for the Frigga 5 Pack USB Temperature Data Logger. I have a low temperature freezer that does not reset after a power blip or failure. There have been times when the food was fine and other times when everything was ruined. I have a thermometer in the freezer that will send data via Bluetooth, but when there is a power failure that does no good at all. My hope is that the Frigga recorders will help me evaluate the freezer contents after a power interruption. Since receiving the Frigga recorders there has been no interruption, and I can't say the recorders work. Because they are single use, once the data is read out the devices no longer function. I will give Frigga the benefit of doubt and award four stars until such time as there is a power incident.

These devices are difficult to begin using and did not log or track temperature as a result. After multiple attempts to use these I could never get them to give an accurate temperature reading/recording and the date and times were not accurate as well. Instructions were not clear and covered two different models that had different operation and functions.
