Since I prefer working in metric over imperial units, this little gauge was perfect for my needs. I tested it on my jobsite table saw and it was pretty accurate despite my saw not being very dialed in. Since the the increments on the gauge are fairly thin, they helped prevent ambiguity on where the straight edge should line up. To setup, I adjusted the bar part of the gauge to the very top of my saw blade until it just barely made contact with the teeth. First I tested 5.0mm (ran a piece of plywood through saw several times) and then measured the channel with my calipers. I measured the depth at 4.92mm, which is extremely close to perfect. Next I tested at 10mm and got 10.30mm. Not too bad! Very pleased so far with this handy gadget.

This is a simple but sweet little tool. Well made, easy to read markings, nice materials including a well manufactured brass tightening knobs, feels high quality, and is a nice simple way to get your saw blade height.

This CNC machined height ruler is a great concept that allows you to quickly measure out blade height on a table saw or bit height on a router table. It has two scales for measuring height (from the bottom) or depth (from the top). The scales range from 0-52mm and while there's a bit of slop in the measuring foot the scales are accurate and agree closely with my machinists ruler. If this is such a great tool, why the 4 stars? Well, there's a bit of slop in the foot so I have to be extra careful when measuring, and the scales are metric-only with nary an imperial unit to be found. I probably wouldn't have ordered if I'd realized this in advance. It can still be used to transfer measurements but it's not quite as useful as it'd be if they'd simply put scales on both sides.

The construction is quite good. If centimeters is your thing, this is perfect. If you are an imperial person as myself, not so good. I will use my calipers to set the gage. Other than the scale issue I like this gage and will be using it.

This is a very nice tool and is well made. A high precision tool with almost no wobble. It should make measuring depth of a cutting tool so much easier and more precise. The knurled knob makes securing the adjustment easy. It slides up and down without binding. The white over black measurement scale is easy to read. It has a very professional look to it with perfect finish. However.... there is one hugh issue with this.. It only measures in metric mm. So, being an American that uses inches and feet, this is going to require an additional step of either converting or using a measuring stick or tape to determine with level to set it at. It will still be more precise than what I have been doing, but am a little disappointed that it is not inches instead of mm. If you use metric, consider this a 5 star review. THAT is why I subtracted a star, it is not perfect for my personal use.
