If you have solar generators or batteries from different manufacturers, you very will may have different input plugs. This cable will allow you to have one cable that can connect to different devices. This saves space when packing and allows you to have redundancy in your setup. Good material and construction. Good deal at the price offered.

This 1 to 6 solar wire is really nicely built. The wires are sturdy on both ends (14 and 16 AWG). Plus the leads are quite long, allowing for plenty of room to make connections. One end of the connector is standard MC4 connectors, so they connect right to the solar panel. The other end allows me to connect to any solar generator (as you can see in the picture, I have two different brands there). All six different leads are active at the same time, so you can actually charge several generators if you have enough watts coming from the solar panels at the time. Plus, the cable is easily disconnected, and I can then use it in when traveling, doing charging outdoors, etc. I was using adapters to adapters sometimes, always misplacing them, and now just one wire does it all, and if I get a different brand of solar generator, I'll still be all set!

This Y cable has MC4 connectors on one side and six connectors on the other, allowing you to connect to almost any common accessory or device. Couple this with a cable having a 12VDC cigarette plug on one and and MC4 cables on the other, and you could power a lot of things from your vehicle, in addition to using solar panels. The description says "8 connectors" but they're including the 2 MC4 connectors, which I think is a stretch to include. However, it does include the six: DC7909 (DC 7.9 x 0.9 mm) DC6530 (DC 6.5 x 3.0 mm) DC5521 (DC 5.5 x 2.1 mm) DC35135 (DC 3.5 x 1.35 mm) Anderson connector XT60 connector I have a variety of solar generators and was able to connect to all of them with this cable, as well as a good deal of accessories. Making this cable one of the more useful ones I've tried. Actually, there were two connectors that I didn't have anything that used them, but it's nice knowing there there. All the connections seem durable, pins centered, etc. Would I buy it again or recommend this to friend: Yes.
