I'm just getting started with solar powered projects, so I chose pre-made connectors for my first rig. These 4-1 split/merge cables seem well made and do the trick, but they are significantly stiffer than I had imagined. It's not a huge deal, but it made some setup less tidy than I would have liked. This may also be exactly the kind of stiffness that is standard in the industry, so it's not necessarily a criticism, but if you are planning on working in tight spaces, you might want to buy the subcomponents and make your own custom connectors. That being said, I'm pleased with the cables, and suspect they will give me many years of service.

These connectors are secure, but they're a pain to separate. They're like a lot of other solar panel cables, so the gripe I have covers all of them. This set give me the flexibility to connect things in different ways, depending on the situation I have. They're good quality and they snap together as expected.

I am slowly building my own solar array and like to have these 4 way connectors to hook my panels together. I really like the quality and construction of the sets and they form a strong and secure pairing that also release easily with the disconnect tool. These are a great investment and always worth having a few extra around for configuration changes or replacements incase of wire damage.

As I build up my solar projects, I needed some additional cables as the parts and pieces pile grows. Getting 4 into one connectors means that I can put blanks on the ends of two for now, and not have to purchase more connectors later, a nice upgrade bonus. It's labeled 6mm for the main single cord so that should be 10awg. They have enough flex but not too much and since they are not too long either, it's nice to keep all the wiring neat. Connections are tight, o-ring fits well so these should last for awhile. The 2 included spanners work as they should. I don't often disconnect them but it's good to have a couple extra laying around.

When installing multiple panels, you will need this important connector that merges your panels into one line that eventually ends up at your battery bank. I plan on installing more than 6 panels and will need to look at the maximum rated amperage for the given distance. I am looking at the information shown on the pages of this product. There are two rated amperages, a 20 and a 30 amp rating. Which is it? When you risk setting your new RV on fire because of an under-rated device, this leaves me wondering. No, it is not worth the risk. Do I use this multi-rated connector? I think not. Sorry but if this is a typo, shame on you. I will err on the side of caution and order from a well-known company.
