Worked well to remove seedling out of square plug trays without damaging them. These tongs are made of stainless steel, so they do not rust. You need a strong grip to squeeze them around the seedling you are trying to remove from the seedling tray. I was able to remove the rooted seedling square plugs without damaging them to pot them up to larger pots. These would not work on round plugs but work well on square plugs because the side of the tongs are flat. Makes the work of bumping up seedlings from square plug trays much easier. I am still looking for some tongs that I can use to extract round plugs.

These tongs are a lot more heavy-duty than I was expecting. They are actually kind of difficult to squeeze if your hands are arthritic like mine are. But they would be excellent tools to have in a greenhouse or used at a transplanting station. They are great for picking up soil blocks and for getting into seed-starting trays to lift out the transplants without damaging the tender seedlings. Im sure theyll have plenty of use in the kitchen as well. I havent tried them for lifting out air-fried items yet, so I dont know if they retain a lot of heat, but I think theyll work well for that purpose.
