From the price standpoint, these are half the price of the ten-pack of similar insulators from Tractor Supply, so if I actually liked those insulators, these would be great. I don't know why TS stopped stocking the small yellow units from Zareba (https://www.ZeeBooth.com/Zareba-ICY-Z-Corner-Insulator-Yelllow/dp/B005MNJFYM) , but this style doesn't work very well for a corner post where you want the wire to slip through the insulator rather than tying off at each post. The shown/expected way to use the insulator is to run the wire through the hole in the insulator, which is find for an end termination, but I'm not cutting the quarter mile of wire I'm stringing, or attempting to slide insulators down it from the end to use these that way. That leaves wrapping it around the other way. Problem is, unlike the American FarmWorks brand of this style, which at least has rounded holes and slots that tends to keep the wire centered, the square slots on this cause the wire to slip to one side and then the insulator flips over and the wire just falls off the insulator and shorts out! This might do better with poly-rope that takes up the whole slot, but I wouldn't count on it. As-is, I'm probably going to toss these in the bottom of my bucket and only use them in an emergency if I don't have anything else handy. They're more-or-less usable for terminating a line, but even then they don't sit straight.

What can you say about egg insulators that isn't obvious? You would not buy them if you did not know what they are for. I used these for wire antenna ends to suspend the antenna in the air. The eggs are a good size and easy to use. I made my antennas using 14 gauge wire and suspended them using paracord. The openings in the egg insulators are excellent for this size wire and cord. The price for the insulators makes them a good value and they are made well.

Product Reviewed: 20 insulators for $11 minus $1 coupon TL;DR; light weight but solid; very good value; limited strength I found these insulators surprisingly light so much so I wondered if they had somehow made them hollow so I cut one apart to see (pics) but they are solid polyethylene I believe just very light material. For most of our polywire uses these would be fine. Id opt for the glass filled versions of this brand if you are interested in high tensile wire or extreme tension/strain but for many purposes these are fine especially at $0.50/each.
