I got this to try on a garden hose to increase the pressure of the water. It does do that. It is not as strong as a pressure washer, but sort of in between the pressure of a garden hose and pressure washer. So you can use this for things that might need a little extra pressure but dont need a pressure washer unit for. It works great for cleaning your car to get hardened dirt off the lower areas. It has a shut off handle so you can put it down and not have it wasting water. I do recommend this for any use that takes more then just a garden hose pressure.

I mainly ordered this to clean the siding on my house, windows, and also my lower gutters out, which I recently used it for. It worked really well for that. I used the longest extension setting and curved end, pointing it into the gutter while I stood on the ground. No ladder needed. And it effectively cleaned out the debris and muck that was plugging up my gutter. This garden hose wand basically narrows and intensifies the steam of water coming out of the hose. I want to note that this is NOT a pressure washer, just a hand wand that focuses the water pressure where you want it. I have really good water pressure and also used a 3/4 inside diameter hose with this. These two factors will make this more effective and useful for outdoor cleaning projects. As such, I don't recommend this for those with lower water pressure, it won't be very effective. Personally, I would never use this to water my plants. I'll stick with my watering wand for that as its gentler for the plants and soil. So if you have higher water pressure and at 3/4" diameter hose, you may want to get one of these.

Well... for the most part, it all depends on your home's water pressure. I think it's good for car washing; however, trying to use it for cleaning sidewalks or siding would be a tedious and time-consuming job, as there is just not enough pressure like a gas or electric pressure washer. It easily attaches directly to the standard size garden hose, and the wand length is adjustable from 18" to 27", it comes with a fan and a jet nozzle. It's made of brass and seems as though it should be pretty durable; if anything were to ever fail, I would think it would be the flow adjustment lever. I'd say it's probably a good value and it does a good job as a car wash accessory.

Like others have noted, this will obviously not make your hose a pressure washer. Home water pressure is usually only around 50-70 psi while an actual pressure washer will give you several thousand psi. If your house only supplies 70 psi, this wand will not magically give you higher water pressure. That said, I've found myself using this spray wand quite a bit for small jobs where I need a more directed/powerful stream than my normal hose nozzle, but don't feel like lugging out and setting up my pressure washer machine. Does what I expected it to do and seems well built. Comes with sufficient quick connect adapters, including a plastic one to attach to your common hose adapter. It being able to use the pressure washer tips I already have is a nice bonus.
