They are basically good shear pins I have a gravel driveway and in the winter, my Troy-Bilt Storm Snowblower will pick up stones now and then and Ill lose a pin these are great replacements and work just as good as the brand name they break when you need them to, but are secure the rest of the time highly recommend!

So far so good, almost. For our Craftsman snow blower, these do fit in the holes nicely, but the drilled in hole is slightly not down far enough for an easy fit of the cotter pins. They are maybe only 1 - 2 mm off. This requires me to place a bend on the very end of the cotter pin so it can curve enough to come out the other side and not hit the auger. Once I have that bend in, I can push through but still need to bend around to make sure this stays. Other than that 1 issue, these do seem to work as designed & nice to actually have a set of these instead of making a mad scramble through our nut & bolt collection trying to find something that fits. (used this to replace a long toilet bowl mounting bolt for the last time we sheared off a bolt from something the blower hit).

I ordered these for my Ego 2-stage snowblower due to the fact that Ego brand replacement pins are $5 apiece. Do these pins fit? Yes and no... These have the same diameter as my Ego pins at 1/4" and the sheer grooves are the same 3/4" spacing. However, the Ego pins have a lock nut that holds the sheer grooves at the precise position they need to be in to work as intended. These pins have a retainer pin instead of a nut and the location of the pin hole is such that the sheer pin is free to move, causing the sheer grooves not to line up with the sheer points of the snowblower. This would cause the pins to require more pressure to sheer off than if the grooves were in the proper location, thus potentially causing more damage to the snowblower. Now, these pins are made of two different materials so these may require less force to sheer than the Ego pin due to this. I don't have the scientific equipment to test sheer resistance of the two pins so all I can do is comment on the fitment and the Ego pins fit my machine better. Hope this review helps.
