A potting mat is a must have for plant lovers. This one did not disappoint. It is the perfect size for transplanting more than one plant at the same time, which I often do. It is also great for larger plants as well. I like that it folds up and can be put away, which is great for saving space. It comes with a Velcro strap so that once its folded it will stay folded with the strap. It also helps with cleanup by keeping the mess off of the floor, and its easy to pickup and dump the mess in a trash can. If you are thinking about it as a plant lover you should get one.

I like this a lot. It is large enough to help prevent soil an dirt from spreading all over the place. I can put a nice big bucket in it to transfer and replace old soil and dirt. I have used this mat several times already and enjoy how dependable it is. Cleaning is easy after scooping up all the dirt and soil I use a damp cloth and go over it a few times and then I store it away. Love it!

I often mess around with potting plants on a desk in the workshop and honestly I make a mess. This has ended that however. Everything stays contained and they are very easy to clean which is a plus. I needed this years ago!

I don't do enough planting to have a permanent potting bench so whenever it came time to move plants or pot a recent purchase I was always scrounging around for a way to not make a mess. This mat is perfect. It ships very small and even after you don't have the advantage of the vacuum pack folds small to store easily. Comes with a strap to keep it neatly folded. The sides doesn't stay up as neatly as pictured but the corner snaps are firm and they do keep the sides upright enough to contain your mess. The material is lightweight but seems sturdy - compare it to the ubiquitous blue tarps but a bit better quality. Washes clean with a quick spray. This would be great for things other than potting - any time you are afraid you may make a mess.

The pictures in the description either minimize or completely belie the true condition of the corners on this mat. The corners snap together leaving a "V" shaped opening at each one. The material is flexible canvass, so the corners weigh down the sides and cause them to collapse outward. This is where dirt and water escape the mat and dribble onto the floor or counter. I wish they'd redesign the position of the snaps to make a clean square box that keeps the sides upright. That's how the main online picture shows it, but that's not what you get. I can't fault this mat specifically for this design flaw because others I've had are the same. And at the price, I guess it's something I can live with until something better comes along. The tarp material is light but sturdy. The mat is big enough to use with almost any size plant. It folds up neatly into a small rectangle, and a velcro strap is included to keep it in place. But you're probably still going to have a cleanup job on your counter or floor when you're done. If they'd fix the corners it would earn a higher rating from me.
