I was sceptical about the ability of these to attract mosquitoes, but I really believe they are working. I hung one each on two zapper lights and a fan trap. The bug zappers normally get a lot of moths and not many mosquitoes, but for the past several weeks the mosquitoes appear to be piling up underneath. It may just be coincidence, but I think there are more mosquitoes on the side of the house without these bug zappers. The third one on a Dyna Trap seems to be catching more bugs in general than the other three around the property. I'll have to look closer at the results when I empty the traps next week. These mosquitoe attractants are usually pricey and I haven't noticed as much difference in the past, but these actually seem to work.

This product must provide some additional attraction to mosquitoes in the vicinity of a mosquito trap, in addition to light as an attractant. The content of each of the three packets, octenol which is present in human breath and sweat is a known pheromone that attracts mosquitoes. This chemical is also the active ingredient in similar products. Unfortunately, my attempts to evaluate the efficacy of this product failed. I have a suction-type mosquito trap that pulls in insects in a one-way path and causes the trapped insects to stick to a little sticky pad at the bottom of the device. I put the trap out all night with the packet unpunctured to see how many mosquitoes were collected without octenol. I intended to put it out the following night with the little packet punctured to release octenol and compare the number of mosquitos trapped. Unfortunately, after the first night the sticky pad was almost covered with Japanese beetles and apparently no mosquitoes. I obviously cannot give this product a five-star rating or even a four-star rating at this time. Given that it should work in principle, however, I can conscientiously rate it three stars 'okay'.

These mosquito attractant packs are incredibly easy to use, simply requiring a few pricks with the included pin. However, I recommend following the setup guide on the ZeeBooth product page, as the physical instructions contain translation errors and are difficult to understand. I've been using these packs for a few weeks now in conjunction with my Dynatrap outdoor mosquito trap. While I've noticed an increase in bugs overall, it's unclear whether they're attracting more mosquitoes specifically or just insects in general. On a positive note, the included clips are surprisingly sturdy. They've held up well in strong winds, keeping the packs securely in place without breaking or falling off. Overall, these attractant packs are convenient and easy to use. Definitely worth the try.

To evaluate the effectiveness of this mosquito attractant, you must have an abundant supply. There is no shortage of mosquitoes where I live. On my back patio is my blue light district light nightly welcoming pests with my four different bug zappers that I have to clean each morning, all from ZeeBooth. I wanted to increase my ratio of eliminating my local mosquito population and I observed that my favorite, largest bug zapper that has narrow electricution grid pattern had almost all mosquitoes, about 20 of them in about two hours time. The attractant comes in an aluminum foil seal that has a plastic internal seal as well. I was surprised that this did not have any strong smell, but whatver the chemical attractant ingredient it has, it obviously works. I am very curious how long this single attractant will last. I have another bug zapper hanging in my chicken coop. I plan to put one on that zapper tomorrow. The foil enclosure is difficult to tear open so I had to use scissors. There is a small, white, absorbent pad used to provide the attractant smell. The hanging clip provided works well. I dont know how this would do out in the open air where it could be exposed to rain. This would be great to have around a pool if you can hang your zapper where it could be protected from rain. For my bug zappers, rain cannot get to them. I am pleased with this product. Update 7/7/24 These attractants dry out very quickly, within a few days. The attractant stops working after about only three days. I put about five drops of water and some of the original, slight smell returned. The next night, I resumed getting mosquitoes. I do not know how many times this moistening trick will work. I am not sure if this attractant is worth the cost since it only lasts a few days and there are three of them. I use a bug zapper that has horizontal killing grids with spacing to killing mosquitoes. There is a difference when these attractants are just put on. I am not sure if adding a few drops of oil such a olive oil would make any difference than using water. I took two stars away for lack of longevity.

Easy to set up and clip on, but it's hard to tell if it actually increased the success rate of our zapper.
