The instructions that came with these were not all that good and you do have to put them together which took some figuring on our part before we could do it successfully. Once we got the hang of putting them together it went very quickly and my wife then put them in a container on our dining room table which made for a very festive table on the 4th of July. The nice part of these pinwheels is that you can easily take them back apart and they will not take much room to store them. I just hope next year we can remember quickly how to put them back together instead of spending a good deal of time making that determination.

When these arrived flat with the handles detached I thought noooo. But, as it turned out, yes. I was supposed to take this coated paper with about the same tinsel strength as a manilla envelope, fold it just right, attach it to the straws from the kit, and do all of that with enough stability to spin with the wind but not fall apart. No. The kids just didn't get pinwheels on the 4th this year.

A plastic notch in the pin was supposed to secure the 2 plastic, curled fan pieces, but they eventually slipped and then stopped turning. The directions were not specific, so putting the pinwheels together was frustrating and took far too long. Through trial by error I was able to get a few pinwheels working properly, but the pinwheel pieces eventually spun around the straw, facing the opposite direction of the wind, and stopped spinning. Also, the top plastic piece kept sliding off the straw because it was not notched. My grandchildren tried to carry them but they kept falling apart. This purchase was a waste of money and a waste of time trying to put them together.

**Assembly Challenges** The Patriotic PinWheels were a bit tricky to assemble, but I eventually got them together. The instructions could be clearer, and some parts didn't fit as smoothly as I would have liked. Once assembled, they did hold together well enough for display. **Underwhelming Performance** In terms of performance, the spinning was not very impressive. Even in a decent breeze, the pinwheels didn't spin as freely as I had hoped. I don't have a lot of experience with high-quality pinwheels, but these didn't meet my expectations for smooth, effortless spinning. **Acceptable Price, Room for Improvement** Considering the price, these pinwheels are acceptable for what they are. However, I believe that both I and other customers would be willing to pay more for a higher-quality product. While I received these for free as part of the ZeeBooth Vine program, the price point is an important factor in my review. Unfortunately, these pinwheels aren't quite ready for prime time.

These patriotic pinwheels are great for the 4th of July, and all summer. They are not the easiest to put together, and the pictures in the description flip flop the pieces making it harder to figure out. After a few trials and errors, I figured it out. Very fun to have around the house.
