We've been re-doing a lot of landscaping and paid some professionals to do a bunch of the drip irrigation. They used all-black emitters and guess what are now invisible to the stomping feet of my teenage helper kids, my wife, me, and pretty much everyone? Yup, we've accidentally destroyed at least a dozen of the emitters they installed. So now we've become experts at replacing them, and these particular emitters are a HUGE improvement due to two things: 1) The red top is much easier to see and honestly it's a little easier to get it to spray the right amount. 2) These are MUCH easier to push the drip hose into them. They have an outer "female" attachment that you push the hose into, whereas the others we've bought had a prong attachment that needed to be muscled into the hose. My life is so much better so far with these, I don't even care if I have to replace them more often because these are so easy to replace.

These small adjustable drippers worked well in my tomato garden with one per plant. I adjusted them for about a foot diameter spray directly under each plant. The spray arcs nicely out of the head with no stray streams going upward. The couplings on these are a little different from other drip irrigation fittings. They're the push-to-connect, push-to-remove "bite" style connectors. So far they've held well with standard 1/4" black tubing. This type of fitting allows the connection to be rotated after it's hooked up. That's helpful in preventing kinks and tangles with the tiny tubing when putting together a system with a lot of branches. I really like these, hoping to get several seasons of use. I will store them indoors when vegetable season is done. A good value, too, with plenty of sprayers in the package.

These are fairly standard emitters with adjustable flow rates. They can allow a lot of water if theyre all the way open, or can be slowed to a trickle. Installation was a breeze. My big qualm, however, is that there is no documentation on how much water they put out. All of my other irrigation equipment comes with a gpm or gph specification. I understand with the adjustability its hard, but even a ballpark would be helpful.

I bought a irrigation system but found that I needed many more emitters. This 30 pc. package is great - super reasonable price - $0.40 a piece. Hookup couldn't be any easier - just push the 1/4" tubing into the connector and you're done. The push to connect fitting is leak free and easy to install. The emitters are infinitely adjustable. You can leave it fully open and it sprays out about a 5 inch radius. If you close up the head so that it literally drips - that is the setting I have because you don't affect the water pressure and can connect 10x the amount of emitters over what the mfg suggests in this setup. Plus if doing a slow drip over a couple of hours, it keeps the water more centralized over the roots and keeps it wet longer. You'll use even less water this way.

You get what you see on pictures, so don't expect to get the connector adapter which is the connector that connect to your supply line to the smaller tubing to this emitter. Other than that, this emitter work as expected. Other similar emitters that I bought in the past came with the adapter to connect to the supply line, I find it irritating that I didn't get this connector, but luckily I still have some lying around so it's ok. The emitter work great, adjusting the flow is easy just by turning it clockwise or counter clockwise. It probably not a good idea to use as a drip irrigation because this does not drip, so you would have to set it to sprinkle to a shorter time like minutes depend on how much water is needed, but definitely not drip all day long or hours long. I think it will last couple of seasons or more, it would be a hassle if you would need to remove it to take inside for storage but that would last longer though.
