I do a fair amount of auto and marine projects that involve wiring. Heat shrink connectors are very handy in these applications far better than nylon insulated terminals even if you add your own heat shrink tubing. For the price, there is no reason not to have an assortment of butt (splice) connectors like this in the home or workshop inventory. A far far better deal (and more convenient) than the 5 to 10 piece carded options at the auto parts store. Now, are these connectors nuclear power plant quality . . . no. They are comparable to what you typically find at HF or one of the big box stores which means they should be more than adequate for any homeowner or hobbyist use. I used a dozen or so of the 16-22 awg (pink) size connectors to build a harness for an aftermarket car stereo I was installing in a Toyota Camry for a friends daughter. The stereo wire gauge was not marked but it measured as 18-20 gauge. It was stranded copper with light plastic insulation (probably pvc). These connectors crimped well, shrunk down tight even on the relatively light gauge wire, and held tight. Tested each connection for resistance with a multi-meter and all were good. I have included a photo of the connectors crimped but not sealed and another after they were sealed (shrunk). If you are new to heat shrink connectors remember you must use the proper crimper or you risk damaging the insulation. I use an Iwiss/Icrimp model IWS-2210H that I got several years ago on ZeeBooth and never have had a problem. Also, although you can use a lighter to shrink the connector, an inexpensive heat gun will do the job much better (and safer). Like most heat shrink assortments, this one includes sizes that in my opinion are there to do nothing more than pad the piece count. Much like when they include thirty Allen wrenches in a tool set to advertise some impressive quantity of tools for the price. Perhaps it is just me and my typical uses, but I see no practical use for the included 22-24 awg size connectors (white) - especially 50 of them. Of course, your mileage may vary. I dont normally concern myself much with product packaging but I must say this assortment does come in a compartmentalized plastic box that neatly separates the sizes. And for shipping, the box of connectors was shrink sealed in cellophane. If you have ever received a package of connectors or other small items that has come loose in transit you will understand why this feature is worthy of note in the review. Overall, the product is accurately described by the seller and in my opinion represents a good balance of price vs. quality vs. quantity for an average user. They are clearly marked for size and follow standard color coding. The claimed 3 to 1 shrink ration may be a bit of a stretch at least in the size (pink) I tested. I did not test them for water infiltration but in the future if I use them in such an application and find them lacking, I will return and update. A good product at a good price. This kit came as described: an assortment of butt connectors in various sizes. These connectors work as they should and the heat shrink is effective as well. If you're finding yourself doing the odd electrical repair these should suit your needs just fine

I do a lot of tinkering with my offroad vehicles. Having a SOLID connection in all of my wiring projects, as well as having them more water proof, is simply a must. These connectors work exactly as they described. My first project with these was to add a secondary light source on the side of my roll cage. These connectors were used with a cheap heat-gun from a cheap tool store. They shrank better than I expected and have now held up to many rides through water and mud. Highly recommended if you need tight/sealed/solid connections in your wiring projects!

Not much to say about butt connectors - using good crimpers, they crimp well and hold, and the heat shrink shrinks and sticks well, making a very water-tight connection. Great for wiring trailers, auto electric repairs, etc.

Good quality connectors with a good variety of sizes and a nice storage case. The only thing I dont like about these connectors, and any others just like them is that the shrink wrap on the ends of the connectors is still too thick after it shrinks down. But thats not any more a problem with these than any other connectors like these
