Yeah, not really. Yardwork still sucks, imo. But it moves faster when you have the right tools to do the job and they're well-made/durable. This little hand saw seems to be both. I also take it camping, it's lightweight enough and the perfect size for backpacking.

This is a simple pruning saw that is very effective on new growth branches and somewhat effective for branches that have wooded over. The blade is sharp and the geometry makes for good push and pull cuts. However, the blade is on the thin side so heavily wooded branches may take more skill and deliberate v-cutting technique.

If youre looking for economical, small, and light with the possibility youll have to saw something, this is a good saw. If you know youre going to be do sawing, youll want a better blade

It's a saw, so it saws stuff, right! I used this to cut a bunch of Youpon branches out of some trails and it did indeed cut them. I was able to cut through in a fair number of cuts, so AFAIK, it cuts just fine. I'm docking a star for weight. It is 'light' just to hold it, but the handle is kind of beefy (which has benefits), though I'm sure a bit could be trimmed to make it a little lighter. I also used it to cut a 6 or 7" log in half that was blocking the path. This took.. forever... and I don't blame the saw, the task was asking way more than it could deliver. I say this b/c I read a lot of product pages for these little folding pruning saws and they almost all say "max cut is [one inch less than saw length]". So, in the case of this 7" saw, they'd say 'max cut 6"'. This is ridiculous in practice, but my test proved it is possible. Under no circumstances short of life-saving-needs should you try to use a short pruning saw to cut anything nearly as large as the saw blade itself. Can it be done... yeah... but you'll wear yourself down to the nub doing it. You'll jam the saw blade 100 times in the process as well.
