Disclaimer: I haven't yet installed this cable. It's a spare for when my cable inevitably breaks. I have examined the cable, and it's length matches perfectly the last replacement cable I had to install on my snow blower. And that last one was a perfect match for the original OEM cable. Thus, I feel confident in saying that this new cable exactly matches the OEM cable. That's a good thing. I examined the cable, yanked on it, twisted it, beat it up a bit, and it appears to be well made, and not prone to breaking at the point most prone to failure on these cables, which is where the little bent elbow gets inserted into body of the snowblower, to serve as an anchor point. I have faith this cable will serve me well for at least a few years. If anything changes, I shall return and update this review.

Fit my Craftsman 24" snow thrower and with improvements over the original cable. This new part has a spring made with a heavier gauge wire and a larger cable end. Both were areas prone to failure on OEM parts. See the middle photo. The opposite cable end had some flash left from the molding process. I ground it off before I even attempted to install the cable just so I wouldn't have any problems outside in the cold. That may not have been necessary, but I just wanted to make you aware of this. This excessive flashing should have been a half star deduction on my rating but the improve made up for this, keeping it at a five-star review. The install was pretty simple with no problems. I can't comment on the durability of the part yet, but so far it has performed perfectly.
