This worked great for enlarging a 3/4 inch hole just enough to press-fit a bearing sleeve. The flap wheel sanders allow greater control than a spindle sander. The flap wheels are stiff enough to put pressure on the work piece and flexible enough to let the grit do its job. Very convenient to have in the shop.

I tested a couple of these out on some scrap wood I had laying around. The edges of the sandpaper on the cone-shaped one's looked a little frayed, so I wanted to see how that would hold up. It worked fine in the limited testing I've done. Those were the main reason I ordered this, because I plan to do some detail sanding and getting into the small areas will require a similar shape. I expect these to hold up just fine for my usage. I tested the mid-sized flappy-wheel and that worked great, as hoped. I'll likely be a return customer!

Particularly like the conical shapes for inside corners.

My hobby is restoring old vehicles. I am currently working on a 1960 corvette. One of the expected customizations is the painting of the wheels to match the body color. In this case, it is red. The old wheels were definitely in need of sanding and prep prior to being painted. This sanding wheel kit was perfect for this project. The different sizes and shapes of the included sanding wheels was needed for all flat spots and numerous crevices. The wheels easily fit my drill and stayed in place for the duration of each sanding session. The coarseness of the product allowed for removal of all imperfections to leave me with complete smoothness. The sanding surface of the wheels stayed in tact for a sufficient time.
