Another great product to keep on our camper for possible repairs. This product can be used for many different repairs! great item to have on any camper or rv!

Though the reflective aluminum foil surface is thin, the underlying butyl adhesive is thick, with strong, tacky adhesion. I tested it on a leaky drain pipe and it worked well. I also tested on a pressurized water pipe with a pinhole leak, which didn't hold even when reinforced with hose clamps. That wasn't a big surprise, though I've had success with that method using high-stretch silicone wrap tape. This conforms and sticks securely to a variety of surfaces and textures, so it should work well on roofs, gutters, and other projects that aren't stressed by pressure (e.g. trying to seal a hole in a tire or air mattress). Being so tacky (like chewing gum), it can be a bit messy to work with if you're not careful. But just like chewing gum, it can be peeled off with a little bit of effort (freezing it with ice cubes to stiffen it might help).

I picked this item up as a quick repair if I spring a leak while on the water. Being able to apply this while wet will help get me back to the dock and brings some peace of mind. I would not store it on the boat because extreme hot or cold may impact the effectiveness. I can also use this round the house for temporary leaks in plumbing and HVAC ducting. I would recommend.

This aluminum tape works well. It seals well. It resists water well. The adhesive is good and it sticks well. I even tried this on various surfaces besides metal, and it still works pretty well. It works as waterproof aluminum tape should.
