Very strong material. Handle is just right. Best garden trowel I've owned

This trowel is constructed of stainless steel and has a nice digging point but the handle is lacking a comfort grip to hold. The end is actually sharp. I have to hold it a little different then I'd like to.

The media could not be loaded. Seemed like a nice shovel unfortunately the handle spine weld broke loose after approx 32 days of normal spring planting handle bent & cracked as seen in photo

Well designed and well made. Made in Japan with quality in mind, not the typical Chinese Junk which breaks in one week. Moulded from heavy gauge stainless steel so it will not bend or break under normal use. Handle is moulded from the same piece of metal so no chance of handle breaking or coming loose. Will not rust even if kept in rain outdoors. Very comfortable to handle. I was so happy with the quality I bought a second one. Kudos to the Japanese for making a product that works and will last, a very good value for money.

I have largish hands and thought I ordered the larger size but got the small. The small lives up to its name. In photo 2 you can see the handle size versus a standard garden shovel. Still useable for me but not for some of the gardening I do. Should work great for repotting and less intensive digging. I really like the reinforcing rib (photo 1) on back. It gives the shovel excellent rigidity and helps when you have to cut through roots or pry out stones. It's stamped steel construction so has sharp edges even where you don't want them. Won't win any beauty or elegant design contests. Overall great for the price though. Only get small if you have small hands.
