Got these to route my garden hoses away from the house and minimize kinks. Material used to make these are great and install was easy. Overall pleased with these and would buy again.

This is a great set for the price. They are thick gauge brass, covered in a nice thick polymer that seems very scratch/scuff resistant. The brass fittings are excellent, and gave me zero issues or leakage from an aging outside spigot. Great quality, 2 set, pricing is perfect, works well.

I have two spigots which are almost always left connected to hose reels during the warm season. The hose reels are off to a side, so the leader hose pulls the spigot off to that side. These gooseneck couplings reduce the stress on the spigot and the strain on the leader hose. I have had to replace a few leader hoses, probably because of the strain caused by the angle they are attached to the spigot. The ends are brass, although from the description, it seems like the body is zinc (rubber coated section). It feels very sturdy in hand. The rubber coated ring makes it fairly straightforward to tighten up the coupling to the spigot.

This Gooseneck Hose Coupling has been a fine addition to my collection of yard tools. I live in a house made in 1938, and the original faucet for our outdoor water is a straight down 90 deg bend. There is only about 6-9 inches between the attach point for my hose and the male threads on the faucet and my hose likes to kink because its got to make that bend. After installing this gooseneck hose coupling, my hose can now attach at a 45 deg angle and has much less strain put on it. I have basically eliminated my hose kinking at the source, which allows me to do what I need to do without having to walk around the outside of my home to fix a kink every 15 minutes. I have purchased a few similar devices from local hardware stores. However, they are only made from a zinc alloy, potentially aluminum, and have visible corrosion after just a couple days of use on top of becoming so corroded that they are unusable after just one season. This hose connector feels hefty when you first pick it up, and the machining is very refined. The edges are clean and don't have burrs and it doesn't cut you with small sharp edges. It comes with a pre-installed gasket that always seem to be missing from items bought from big box stores, and it forms a leak tight seal to both the faucet and my hose. The outside has a black rubberized coating that works well for grip, and corrosion protection, however It gets extremely hot when in the sun. If you haven't ran water through it and its been sunbathing for a few hours its best not to touch the gooseneck itself, as it could potentially cause a burn. With the material being Brass, you are bound to get some corrosion eventually, but this will last you much longer than a cheapo part from the bargain bin at your local hardware store. One other thing id like to note is this fitting is machined with a nice wide throat, and is internally machined with a bevel in the bend. These two things help in that the wide throat doesn't contribute to flow restrictions, and the bevel helps redirect the flow of the water, rather than the water slamming into the side of a fitting and having to change direction. Overall I highly recommend this part as it works perfectly for what it was built for and seems to be of very high quality.
