I am now a firm believer we should not take water products for granted. After all, water is the fundamental building block of life and we should question the validity of manufacturers claims. For instance, using this kit, I tested a package of bottled spring water and found it was acidic with a host of other issues that were not in the recommended guidelines. Spring water is supposed to be naturally slightly alkaline. I tested the water because I noticed a peculiar taste and felt sluggish afterwards. I quickly discarded the package of bottled spring water, thanks to this drinking water test. Every household should have this. Highly recommended.

Whenever we use water from vending machines we always test it in advance, it has saved us from getting sick a couple of times already, so now it's more of a muscle memory for us to be so persistent in testing our drinking water. I have been searching for a water test kit for drinking water. Most of the water test kits available are for pools. Completely useless for drinking water. This kit is amazing! I especially love the card it comes with that explains each item it tests for. The card is sturdy so it won't get ruined if it gets wet. The bottle shows the safe range too. Makes it easy for someone with little understanding of water safety to confirm if water is safe for drinking. We live in an RV predominantly, so our water source changes frequently. since it's important we test our water often, I love this! This kit also comes with 2 vials for testing for bacteria. The test strips test all of the necessary mineral / bacteria that you would pay hundreds of dollars for a testing company to do. I will say that if you get back to back consistent (and alarming) readings that are OUT of spec - To get your water professional tested. You can find online labs that will send the sample bottles and you simply mail them back. I use a local lab - no concerns with transport time and temperature fluctuation. There are websites available to help to interpret your readings from this test kit, but the manufacture does not list on or give any documentation with the kit. It is probably a legal liability protection?? At any rate - great kit, but you have to do your own research.

I got these water test strips for my aquarium and aquaponic setup. I was just starting this hobby so I didn't want to spend lots of money on electric testers. I just wanted to make sure the water was thr right ph and to see chorline and other chemical levels. The cool part is that it also has 2 ecoli and bacteria testers. With 100 stripes I am pretty much set for a year or so, before I upgrade or see if I really want to continue this hobby.
