Purchased for night dives, works great run 550 cord through the top and loop then loop over tank so they don't come off. Great visibility at night in backscatter murky water. Made it easy to identify my wife / dive partner underwater. After the dives gave them to the kids who enjoyed them. Will buy again for future night dives.

I've used these for years. They aren't really bright enough for reading or other tasks but they are great in an emergency or fun as a marker light or night light. I have these stashed in a couple of places around my house for use during power outages. They work well as a night light in the bathroom during power outages so you don't stub your toe or miss the toilet. I give them to kids and even some adults as stocking stuffers at x-mas.

I bought a pack of these a while back and they have come in handy several times. During camping, power outage, gave one to a neighbors kid when they went out trick or treating to be seen. Have one in the truck of the car/glove box. They usually are good for about 5-6 years.

Purchased a box way back in Jan 2016. I'm writing this review in April 2024, so over eight years after purchasing the 6" SnapLights. Was cleaning out bags and saw I had a few left. I keep them for camping and emergencies, neither come up very often for me. Was thinking I should probably throw them out but tried one just to see. It glowed brightly as soon as I started to shake it. Hung it in a closet to see how long it would go, been over an hour and still glowing strong. I put the rest back into my backpack.

I bought this item 7 years ago and still have those same glowsticks from back then. I bought new ones because I was sure that 7 year old glowsticks would not be comparable to new ones. I was wrong. Sure the new ones were leagues brighter at first crack than the old ones. That is too be expected. What I didn't expect was the longevity of these (the one new one that I used) was far inferior to the 7 year old one! No hint of glow was detectable in complete darkness from the new one after around 3-4 days. Whereas the 7 year old one that I recently cracked on March 20th, finally lost its last hint of glow yesterday (April 3). That's 15 days! They are visibly different too. The 7 year old ones are completely round and the new ones have an octagon(?) shape. Now, I don't know if these get better with age (guess I'll have to wait 7 years to test the current ones) .. but I just thought it was interesting. Realistically, 4 days is a long time too. So really, no complaints. They are good glowsticks. Despite all this would buy again.
