The media could not be loaded. For the price I wasnt sure what to expect, similar items are typically double the price on ZeeBooth. But this little guy totally works! Im not quite sure what to do with the information now that I have it, but this item is exactly as advertised.

I've been reading about how we should all be mindful of our EMF exposure and how ubiquitous it is in this age of wifi and 5G. I ordered this little meter hoping to get, if not an accurate measure of EMF transmission in my home and work, at least a relative idea of which of our devices is throwing off the most and where in the house they should be placed to best mitigate our exposure. It does seem to do that much and I'm somewhat relieved to find that the devices in our very low tech and wifi limited home produce very low detectable EMF signals, especially compared to what I was able to measure at work. So that's comforting. Using it is simple enough. Just turn it on and walk around your home measuring signals at different distances from your devices. The display is easy to read and it's charged with the provided usb cable. An alarm will alert you if the meter measures an EMF signal that meets its dangerous or hazardous threshold. I only learned just now reading through a few other reviews, that people buy this as an armature ghost detection tool...did not know that! I guess I should also be comforted that it never went off unexpectedly in an area far from any potential EMF sources. Whew!

This EMF meter seems to be a very well made unit. It has a very nice, finished look. It is ergonomic and easy to use. The screen is bright, clear and colorful. The unit seems to work well, very sensitive which works well for locating small EMF sources. The instruction booklet is easy to read and understand. Beyond a FUN device, I don't feel this meter is particularly useful in helping to determine if nearby emissions are truly at dangerous levels. My problem with this meter is with the Gauss scale. The ICNIRP (International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection) has set limits that it feels are safe. "In 2010, the ICNIRP recommended a residential magnetic field exposure limit of 2,000 milligauss (mG) and an occupational exposure limit of 10,000 mG." This EMF meter is in milliGauss (mG), which is fine, except that 999.9 mG is the highest possible reading. The instruction booklet says that any magnetic field stronger than 4 mG will indicate harmful. For comparison, a typical refrigerator magnet is about 100 Gauss or 100,000 mG. So pretty much any magnetic field this meter comes in contact with will read HARMFUL. As shown in my pictures. My bottle opener that happens to be just magnetic enough to barely pick up a small screw will set this meter off into the Red / Harmful zone. That in my opinion is not helpful, mainly because now you can't really measure areas or devices that are emitting a strong / harmful amount of magnetic radiation. It's like crying wolf all the time. If you're intent is to measure small EMF emissions from household appliances or hunt for that hidden wireless microphone or camera, then this would probably work well for that.
