Pros: design quality Cons: none at this time Summary: I have been looking for something like this to decorate the soil of a big houseplant. This was perfect as it gives it an Asian garden aesthetic.

I got this to use in my spider habitat. It's super cute and the quality is great.

We like this cool traditional Chinese pavilion because it adds a nice touch as an accent in our garden! It is octagonal with a pillar at each corner, gold trim, with two roof layers that have upturned gables points. The black base has small steps on one side that lead up inside the pavilion. This style pavilion is typical in parks and temples in China. The model is made from a white resin, and it appears to be hand painted. The hollow center is accessible from the bottom and the opening is large enough for a battery tea light. Like other reviewers have noted, the skimpy packaging wasnt well done so mine came damaged one gable tip unfortunately arrived broken. I used a red sharpie to make it less noticeable. Even with the small flaw, we like it a lot!

I got this pagoda to add a splash of color to some repotted trees; I was not disappointed. The bottom of the pagoda is open, so it could be set over another object instead of trying to smoosh that object between the pillars. It looks like it was hand-painted, and not a super great job either, yet it doesnt detract very much from the appearance. The pagoda is made out of some kind of hard plastic or resin, but does not feel cheap; it feels like it will last for a long time. I dont know how well the colors (or the material, for that matter) will last in sunlight and the elements, but I plan on keeping mine indoors. I dont normally add decorative items to my plants, but based on this one I would be willing to add some to my other plants.

I enjoy having a convenient, small, portable (5.5 oz) bonsai dcor with a poppy red roof to bring life and a cultural touch, to many areas of my residence. This may be perfect for your Zen Garden, aquarium, kitchen, bathroom, patio, balcony, or backyard, but it is not without its imperfections. Due to what I believe is a brittle quality, I would recommend some extra care around kids, pets, and inclement weather. I had to immediately glue back one of the pointy ends of this roof, because this item came chipped. If I get around to it, I may touch up the red roof paint where some white unpainted areas show through, as well as clean up the bottom edge of the beige columns where the black base paint overlaps in a haphazard manner. I tried using this as a mini lantern with a real candle, which was quite charming. Being unfamiliar with this material, I would not leave it there without a careful watch of it -- for safety reasons -- or I would use an LED tea light. Having noted this, I am happy with this convenient, endearing dcor, which I find highly picturesque and lightweight.
