i love these little guys so much. they're really cute for decoration and they glow well so far. but, they can break if you're not careful. would buy again !!

When I first introduced Studio Ghibli films to my boyfriend's kids they fell in love with them. We were limited to what I had on DVD for what to watch, and his 2 youngest kids were about 5 and 6 at the time. They liked to fall asleep to movies and if we asked his 5 year old son would say he wanted to watch "the little butts movie", because when you see the Kodama in the movie sometimes as they were walking away you could see, well, their little butts. And being 5 he thought it was hilarious and they were his absolute favorites. Fast forward 6 years we still call it the little butt movie, and the Kodama little butts. Earlier this month I introduced Studio Ghibli to my 12 year old little sister from the Big Brother Big Sister program and my boyfriend's now 12 year old daughter said I should start with this one. I did and of course had to explain the story behind why we call it the little butt movie, and she thought it was so funny, and at one point being concerned for the little guys during the movie actually said, "oh no! Not the little butts!" So with her birthday coming up at the end of the month I wanted to get her something and my boyfriend suggested these guys, because although this was a movie I had seen multiple times, her being included now with the inside joke, really made it kind of special and I thought this would be perfect. We recently painted a mushroom earring holder at the art center and thought they would go perfect with her piece, especially since she attempted to make her mushroom glow. They are small, but I included my pepper shaker in one photo to get a size on all of them. You can see a subtle difference in the plastic color determining if they are green or blue, but the blue ones do come marked and both came in the box, so packaged well. Both glow colors have a mix of green and blue eyes on the figures. The blue ones don't glow as strongly as the green, as you can tell the green ones are extremely bright plus even with light coming in they still glow, but the blue ones looked more like what you would expect from the movie. And yes, I checked them all, and only the one style of figure actually had a little butt.

These are amazing tiny accents if you are a Princess Mononoke fan. I have had people ask me for some of them. My favorite thing is to hide them around my bf's apartment, and he enjoys finding them in random places.
