This is my second attempt at purchasing a folding saw for camping. The first one had a lot of teeth. It was solidly built. However it took forever to cut. I realized it was probably intended for fine pruning. Not my use case. I need something that will rip through sticks quickly so I can burn them. This one cuts pretty quickly. Not as quickly as my bow saw but that has a much thinner blade cause its supported by the frame. I took off a star because I find the locking mechanism a bit flimsy. It works but you can extend the saw past the open position if you are not careful when opening it. That is odd behavior and doesnt give me confidence.

This was remarkably useful. I removed an overgrown 15 year old Japanese holly bush. I used pruning shears for branches less than 1" in diameter, but used this small saw to cut larger ones. Since this was not dead wood, I anticipated problems. Surprisingly it cut well. I even used it to cut into the soil to get all the runner roots so I could pull out the plant.

Decent quality product for the money. Its not the best on the market but for its price point this is your best bet. Just tested on a 6 limb and it cut through it like butter.

This is a powerful little hand saw and it works great for small jobs! I've had it for about 4 years now and it still looks and works like brand new so it is definitely high-quality. I love that it folds in so there is not a blade sticking out and it's easy to store. Good for camping, lawn maintenance, and even cutting through some old broken Ikea furniture! Keep in mind the size here, it is definitely not going to work well for cutting through a thick log or something similar. My only minor complaint is that the blade can wiggle a bit when cutting, but the serrated blade helps minimize that.
