Fovakabo Garden Gloves with Claws review

These gloves with claws are great! Where have they been all my life? I do quite a bit of container gardening, and these work so well for loosening up the soil, much better than regular gloves. So far, so good, and I can highly recommend these garden gloves.

Clawed garden gloves

You think to yourself - why clawed gardening gloves? You'd be surprised at how useful they are in gardening. Many times you need something that can dig into the grass or trimmings and these clawed gloves do just that. The manufacturer states that the gloves are "puncture resistant" however, I would disagree with that as many things that I grasped had some small thorns on them and they most definitely punctured through. Overall though, the gloves are very useful and help with many different gardening needs and they are a must have in our gardening bag.

Fell apart on first use

Good idea and design - however one of the tips fell off the first time I used them doing typical garden tasks. The idea of the waste this throwaway product creates bothers me more than anything else.

Great for some gardening tasks, not so good with others

I am so tired of wearing out the fingertips of my gardening gloves prematurely. So I was very interested to try these claw finger gloves. The gloves are comfortable, pretty breathable, and fit my hands well. (My hands are medium-sized women - could fit womens large hands, too, but definitely not mens large hands.) They are a knit material - elastic knit around the wrists - with a textured, flexible latex coating over the entire fingers and palms. Does a pretty good job of keeping your hands clean. The claws on the 8 fingertips are hard plastic, sturdy. These are definitely not going to wear down like my normal glove fingertips! As far as performance, these gloves are great for planting - can use the claws to make a hole for seeds, or to dig a hole for seedlings. While it seems like they would be great for weeding, I really had a hard time grasping anything with them (like weeds). I almost needed one glove with claws (to dig) and the other without (to pull/grab). Overall, I would recommend these gloves for certain gardening tasks, and I think they are a good value for the quality.

Claw tips

The gloves had a hole in the cuff. I decided to keep and use anyway. First day using them 4 of the claw tips came off. I was planting in pots not the hard ground. One of the tips, I can not find to glue it back on. Very disappointed.
