Trowel broke at point where scoop is welded to bar. Would not buy again.

Quality is nice, handle is ergonomic and the metal seems extremely thick and durable. The little cap that cover the base where the shovel meets the handle came loose in shipping- but it was easily super glued in back in place.

I plant just over 800 annuals in container gardens all around our landscaping each year, so I need a reliable garden trowel. I ordered this one because of the narrow size of the trowel - which I think is perfect for most container gardens. Since it's Winter here and all the landscaping is buried in snow, I've only used this garden trowel on indoor plants so far. It works perfectly for indoor plants - even the large trees I have been transplanting into larger pots. The trowel is very strong and the handle is securely attached. So far, there has been no bending of the metal when digging in the pots - as has happened with other trowels I've used in the past. I am hoping the metal won't bend when I start digging in outdoor containers where the soil is much more compacted. I'll update this review if that happens. The handle is comfortable to hold and the strap makes it easy to hang when not in use. I really like the shape of the shovel! It's narrow enough for working in pots, but wide enough at the top to hold a scoopful of soil. Very nice! I appreciate the warranty on this trowel - most garden tools I use do not have a warranty like this, so I think this one is a bonus. So far, I am really enjoying this tool and look forward to using it this Spring and Summer. I do recommend it!

This trowel is great for working on potted plants or for transplanting seedlings into beds. The narrow width keeps a hole from being excessively wide and the markings on the trowel blade made it a simple task to keep your seeds or seedlings at the depth you want. The metal is thick and strong enough that it does not bend, even when digging into quite hard soil. The wood handle looks and feels like oak or another hardwood. The leather strap makes holding it and hanging it easy. This is a garden tool you can look forward to using for years to come.

My wife's idea of "putting away" garden tools is leaving it at the last place she used it. That works pretty well until about November. At that point it is unlikely to get picked up again until Spring. (This year, we have 57 inches of rain as of mid February. Not a lot of yard work is getting done.) So, when I get a chance to get a garden trowel, I jump on it. This one is a pleasant surprise. Here is what I like about it: The shape of the handle is very good. The curves fit you hand very well. The photos in the listing don't show this very well. The shape of the blade is unique. It is pretty narrow until close to the top. At that point it kind of grows wings. I like the thiner blades. The are great for when I need to dig through turf to replace a sprinkler head. The materials seem first rate. I will be very surprised if it breaks. (I have gone through a lot of garden trowels.) The stainless steel seems high quality, and the handle seems to be good hardwood. The only potential weak points are where the stem is welded to the blade, and where the stem attaches to the handle. If we have any problems, I will come back and edit this review. I don't give a lot of five star reviews. I tend to think that pretty good means four stars, and something needs to be special to get five stars. This gets five stars. I am a little bummed that it is destined to spend the winter of 2023-24 under a pile of leaves in some remote corner of the garden.
