I got these Garden Guru Razor Sharp Snips to use in my garden in lieu of my pruning shears, which had always been my go-to pruning tool. These are very small - smaller than a standard household scissors, they are really easy to use, lightweight, and fit perfectly into the palm of my hand. And, they are really good quality and well-made. I grab these first, unless I need to cut something that has a thick branch or stem. They are SUPER sharp, and haven't dulled at all after two months of frequent use. Overall, this is a great tool and a really good value for the price. I recommend these!

I've got a very large set of pruning shears and a mini chainsaw that I typically use for big jobs, but they're not very easy to use for and jobs. This pair works well for smaller things in the garden, like pruning tomato plants, cucumber plants, and even the rhododendron we have. But, despite the claim I found it exhausted my hands a bit quicker than expected. Don't get me wrong, they work well overall - with very sharp blades and a smooth closing action. But the spring is a bit more resistant than what I'm used to, so it left my hands a bit sore. But, as stated, it's great for quick small jobs and very precise.

Ordered these Garden Guru Razor Sharp Snip Professional Garden Pruning Shears Trimmers Scissors to use this summer in the garden to augment the brand name ones I have out in the shed. They are significantly less well made than the orange ones I have but about 1/2 the price so is that 7 bucks or so worth the trade off is the question. The handle is a little larger in size and feels like plastic rather than rubber. The spring, while being functional does not snap back as quick to full opening size and there is more resistance on the blade meaning you have to squeeze harder to get it to snip. Might be 5 stars and amazing to people of have not spent a lot of time using one of the higher quality trimmers. I do like that the tips have been cut off just slightly so you cant stab yourself with them, yet the tip is small enough that you still can do some pretty precise trimming. Price wise I did a quick search and you can get packs of these or a mix of tools for not a lot more than the cost of this single item. So that makes it hard for me to say that it is an excellent value. Product came well packaged and fully functional. Edge is good and they work fairly well, especially if you are using them infrequently to thin seedlings or clip microgreens... for daily use I would invest in a better quality product.

I have a large garden and use garden snips for pruning and taking cuttings regularly. I use a pair of the name-brand garden snips that I've had for about two years (see the orange snips in pics 2 and 3), and the handle lock fell off. Now I keep them shut with a rubber band. I saw this non-name brand set, and thought I would give them a try for comparison. So far, these are working great with no issues. These snips look, feel, and perform in every way just like the name brand. However, they are about HALF the price. I wish these would have been available when I bought the name brand pair. If you're looking for garden snips, give these a try. I don't know if the handle lock will fall off of these as well (due to the similar design) or if it was just my pair, but these are just as good as the name brand, and at $6.49, they are a lot less expensive.
