I was disappointed because I thought the head would be a bit bigger but it is nice to get in small areas

This tool is different from any other Ive tried. I have tried a good variety of weeding tools. This tool is a great addition to gardening supplies. It kind of functions as multiple tools in one due to the two different sides. For weeding purposes, I only it found useful when I used it in an area that I have covered in decorative pea gravel. It was very helpful there and made weeding easy and quick. When I tried it in a section of my garden that was plain soil around my perennials, it really didnt get under the weeds easily. Part of that may have been the fact that I couldnt kneel down over top the weed, like I was in the gravel area. Also, the angle the rake is attached to the handle at is awkward. I wont work at all in grass, since the grass is in the way, obviously. It ends up pull random grass with it. Adding a back end is a great idea. It is great how that end is beveled. I wish the rake points were beveled too. Beveling allows you to sharpen it. The tips of the rake arent sharp but nicely pointed. The other end comes in dull, probably because most wouldnt want a super sharp end on this tool. That might be a bit of a safety concern when using the rake end. It also is made of quality materials making it sturdy with a good handle. Should last just fine. There is an opening around where the green plastic grip attaches to the steel bar of the tool. It is shallow, but dirt may get into there I figure. However, it isnt like you stick that part of the tool into the soil that far anyways. I took a picture of it. The handle is a sturdy plastic and comfortable to hold. Youll need gloves to prevent blisters as with most tools. Its super easy to clean the tool. I would definitely suggest the tool in areas with small or regular sized gravel (not the larger river rock). I would choose this tool over any other I have for that specific weeding area. This also kind of works as a rake, shovel, and weeding tool all in one. Also, the beveled end can be sharpened. Overall, I think this is a great and unique tool to add to a gardening tool selection if you are the type that is very active in the garden like I am.

This is a great tool for ripping out the kinds of grass and surface weeds that rise up in tended beds. The angle is good for skating the head along at or just below the soil level, where the teeth grab and uproot weeds. My beds were a bit overdue for weeding, so I did need to stop pretty frequently to clean the weeds from the teeth, but it's much easier on my arm than tools like garden claws that require more downward force. Do be careful near the roots of established plants. This shifts a bit of soil as well as weeds and weed roots, so plan to hand-pull in your plants' root zones. Still, this zips through the wider areas around the plants and makes quick work of non-stalky weeds. I haven't tried it on anything woodier like prickly lettuce, but I imagine it would handle young plants. Probably not big ones, but that doesn't look like its intended purpose. For under $9, it's a solid buy.

I wish I could return this item. It did not work. Its design is not proper to remove weeds. Sorry for that
