Well made tool for garden use. It has stood up well to quite a bit of use in varied soils. The solid connection of the handle to the metal spade section is well done. Usually this is one of two weak spots. The blade of the spade itself is thick and strong and will easily resist the split that normally happens around halfway up. In short this should not break on you any time soon. The blade has depth measurements in standard and metric. The handle has ergonomic grooves to help enhance performance . The top of the handle does have a notch so you can hang from a wall peg for organizational purposes. The trowel washes easy. We do recommend this product

This is a decent transplanter shovel. It's like something you'd find at the gardening center of your local department store. The grip is thick and hard but has a soft covering over it that gives it good grip. It is also pretty ergonomic. The blade is nice and pointy to easily dig out plants and the neck seems sturdy enough. I like that the coating is similar to anodizing rather than painted on as it doesn't scratch or rust easily as far as I've used it. It would probably take a season of use to see if there's any obvious difference compared to the bare stainless-steel shovels I've been using for years. There is some manufacturing dangly bits and quite a big gap where the neck inserts into the handle, but it feels sturdy.

This hand trowel seems to be of similar quality to what I would buy if I saw it in a hardware store. The metal seems to be strong and the handle has a nice comfortable grip. I really like that it has a sharp point, though I'm not sure how long that is going to last. So far, it has worked well for ripping open bags of potting soil or prying small stones out of the way when digging. It's a more slender style so it's not as good for scooping. I used it for digging out some weeds, prepping my raised beds, and transplanting seedlings, and it worked great for all of those things.

Very well made tool, heavy-duty metal with comfortable handle. Just started gardening a couple years ago, been using a big kitchen spoon for planting. This is called a "transplanter trowel shovel", and so I thought it would be good for digging little holes for transplanting or making small trenches for seeds. It is my inexperience that I didn't know and could not tell from photos that this is a flat tool that would be good for cutting down into dirt but probably not so good at removing dirt, since there is not much of a scoop shape to it. I will remain on the lookout for more of a small hand digging tool/shovel, and for those of you who know that this is a narrow, flat tool and what to do with it, I think it is very sturdy and at time of review, a good price as well.
