Great replacement for the Stihl Polycut 20-3!!

I recently needed to replace a Stihl Polycut 20-3 trimmer head (uses both plastic blades and trimmer string). I found out that Stihl had stopped making the Polycut 20-3. I could replace this head by buying two separate Stihl heads....one for string and one for blades. I do not want to have to change heads when switching from one to the other. The Polycut head is great because, if you hit something too thick for the string, the blades will take care of it. This replacement product is a close copy of the Polycut 20-3 and the price was very reasonable. It comes with two shaft nuts with different size threads and so it is compatible with several trimmers. I have not had this head long enough to assess its durability but it appears well made. I recommend it!

No instructions. Cheap blades

I was surprised the way the product arrived. In a bag, wrapped with tape. Blades were already mounted and ot came with 2 large nuts. When I tired to mount the unit to my sthil S70 it would not screw on. I thought the other nut was a back up, but then I figured out it had a different thread. You have to use a punch to pull out the installed nut to remount the other thread nut. This would be no issue except the the lack of instructions. The blades snapped after 30 seconds. And they are too small for the unit. On the good side, the head unit seems to be well built. I mounted some Sthil blades and now I am very happy with the head unit.

Very Durable when cutting thick grass and weeds

This trimmer head was easy to install on my Stihl heavy duty trimmer. The cutter blades were durable and long lasting when cutting weeds, grass and briars out from under 2000 yards of wildlife fencing. Worth the purchase price.

Works, but...

The way the cover turns over the screws, it can be very difficult to remove and the blades routinely fold back into the cover so that you have to pry them back out until you hit the next hard item.
