Super heavy duty shut off valve!

This is a heavy duty all brass shut off valve. It comes with 2 extra silicone washers. Valve movement is smooth and definitive.

Exactly As Expected

Seals are sometimes hard to get in but this was very helpful for us and is very durable.

An incredibly sturdy shutoff valve; directions on valve are not helpful.

This hose connector with shutoff valve is useful for giving you a place to turn water flow on and off without walking all the way back to the spigot. I typically use it at the end of the hose and attach whatever implement I'm using to the connector, but you could put it in between two hoses if you were using several connected together, or right at the spigot if you just didn't want to turn the handle round and round. After the first turn the valve handle moves easily. My only problem is with the labels on the handle. It would be better if they were just left off. The handle is labeled OPEN, which of course is only correct when it's in one of its two positions. There is a semicircle arrow around the handle screw, which of course indicates only one of the two directions the handle will turn. If you turn in the direction of the arrow thinking that would put the handle in the open position, you'd be wrong--it is closed. So, labels are useless and molding them in was a waste of time. In spite of this, I recommend this connector.

Gets the job done

When it comes to hoses and fittings, I don't mind paying more. I spent a lot of money on dual shut off valve for one of my spigots and I love that thing even though it was 3x more expensive than a comparable plastic one. I'm not sure I'll have the same love affair with this beauty but so far so good. This gets the job done.

Larger diameter inside

I own a small plant nursery business and we do a LOT of watering. This valve is nicer than traditional brass shutoff valves. See the comparison between the two in my pictures. We use these valves for all our watering wands. The on/off handle is larger and much easier to operate, and I like the larger overall size of the valve for good grip. The inside of the valve is larger diameter than the traditional valves - not by much, but enough to make a slight difference in flow. My caliper's battery was dead so I can't tell you exactly what the difference was between the two, but it was around a mm, maybe a little more.
