I installed one of the package on the day that it arrived. It was easy to do and it did not leak when making the connection to my 1/2" distribution hose for a new drip system. I have a couple of these left over to use on a future connection.

Not much to go wrong here - garden hose to 3/8" irrigation tubing adapter. They work as expected.

I ordered these to add to one of our watering systems that we have in our enormous raised -bed garden area. We have over 40 beds and use several different types of irrigation systems from soakers, drip systems, directional spray and standard sprinkler head systems. These were for our Eden 98063 system that we bought this year for certain beds - the system works GREAT!! I had no issues attaching these to the existing setup. Once they were seated and in place, there was no evidence of any leaks. I actually bought another package the same day we used the first package from VINE. These are perfect for the application. My 1/2 inch drip tube is a heavier thickness so I just used a deburring tool to enlarge the irrigation tube clamping bead in the collar a bit to get the hose to fit in. Then just slide the collar on the hose, insert the barbed end of the garden hose end of the adapter into the 1/2 inch tube and screw the collar tight to clamp the tube. The garden hose end is a single solid piece of plastic so you can't just spin it on a garden hose or hose bibb after it is clamped. The easy way is to just loosen the collar a bit so the adapter can turn around the tube then connect the garden hose or hose bibb and then turn the collar tight. But I prefer to install quick disconnects so I can just swap hoses around without having to run back to the faucet to turn off the pressure and then run back another time to turn the water on again after changing the hoses.
