I've only just started using this, so rating could change. However right out of the gate, I like that the base and cover are hard plastic. So many of the pretty 'gimmicky' hummingbird feeders have a softer type of plastic for the bottom, or even like plastic bottom with metal top, and after a season in the sun, the plastic changes, and warps, won't screw together, shrinks, etc. That won't happen here because the top just sits down over the tray holding the humming bird food. The metal rod is also great, it screws in tightly and if for any reason the plastic threads cease to 'grab' on the metal part you could always permanently attach it with glue, so any failure there wouldn't render the feeder useless. ***My only warning.... The ant moat *looks* about an inch and a half deep BUT IT IS NOT. Yes, the outer rim is, however, the inner portion where the hook screws in is maybe 1/4 of an inch tall, maybe even less than that. And there are drain holes in this inner portion. Drain holes make sense so if it rains, the moat doesn't overflow. However nothing on the box, in the instructions, or even in the reviews I read before buying, mentioned just how much lower those drain holes are than the outer rim of the moat. And the holes are small, in clear plastic, surrounded by more clear plastic, and thus very hard to see. Even inspecting all the pieces beforehand I didn't see them. I filled the feed part, and then filled the ant moat and when my Mom and I turned around to pick the feeders up, fluid was all over the counter. We thought, at first there were cracks in the plastic and it was sticky food. However when I uncovered them, the food part was fine. Instead it was from the moats. We still weren't able to discern the mechanism of the leakage until we got them outside in the bright sun. Then we were able to see the drain holes. I should have thought to take photos, but Mom was mopping water and I was trying to hang the feeders for our resident hummers, so it didn't occur to me to do so. I've used an image from the listing instead to show the drain holes. They're much more visible in the professional photo than real life anyway. When I say that the moat really only holds a splash of water, I'm not exaggerating. It appears deep enough to really drown legions based on the height of the outer edge, but it's so shallow in reality that our regional 'big black ants' will be able to wade right through the water it holds. So we shall see how useful it is. As stated, drain holes are smart, and needed, but be careful or you'll end up mopping up after filling!

Great feeder.Only drawback is it doesnt hold a lot of nectar and easy to spill. Other than that great, easy to assemble and clean. Great value

The hummingbirds passed by this feeder and go to a more familiar one with the little yellow plastic flowers on it. I hate that one because it leaks, but this one doesnt allow the birds to reach the liquid because the ports are so high. The nectar remains until it thickens in the feeder.

I just love this hummingbird feeder. It holds 10 oz of water and has 25 ports for the hummingbirds. It is really easy to put together and easy to clean. It even comes with 2 brushes to clean the holes. Very nice and sturdy.

I love the feeder and the birds do too. It is easy to fill, doesn't leak like some of the other feeders I have had.
