This isn't a high end magnetic stirrer, but it does work and it works fine. It's pretty much what I expected it to be for the price. Does what I need it to do, and it's at a low enough price point that even though it feels like it probably won't last years and years, I'm comfortable with that. Not bad. Does what I need.

Works well. My only complaint is that the bean is angled and not pill shaped, so it makes an awful rattling noise at higher speeds when the vortex it creates is able to funnel down and reaches it.

Got this to use with some of the projects I'm doing at home. It works, but there are a number of caveats. This was also tempered by the fact that the first one arrived dead, and needed to be returned and replaced First compared to the many stir plates I used in the lab this one is pretty small, which matches with the price. I also can't imagine placing a 3 L container on this due to its size, 1 L is probably the max (and that's a serious stretch) that I think would fit on top of this. Secondly is the stirrer. Its stirrer is definitely high powered, and surprisingly highly powered for its size (possibly stronger than the lab grade ones I've used). But this is also a deficit, because the stir bar can't handle it without going hay wire, so the amount of stirring is wasted without getting to maybe half of its power. The included stir bar can only handle maybe a quarter before being tossed into unproductive erratics. I tried out another flatter one and it lasted longer, though at one point I thought the motor was breaking because of the sound (turns out to be some friction or vibration between the magnet and the stirrer at the higher speed and then it also went into erratics bouncing all over the place. This this is cheap, and small, and has an overpowered magnetic stirrer. Not a bad option for testing things out on a smaller scale, but after my experience make sure you test it as soon as you get it to make sure you don't get a lemon.

The media could not be loaded. I work in a microbiology lab and make buffers pretty often. Its very nice to have a magnetic stir plate at my lab bench when I just need to mix something real quick. I would consider this to be a very budget magnetic stir plate since it feels very light/plasticy and does not have a lot of the features you find on a more expensive name brand stir plate. The main features this is missing is a display to show the stirring speed and an included hot plate. But for the price, this is hard to beat. I used it to mix up a few buffers and it worked well for that purpose. It even came with a little stir bar which is a nice touch. It stirs pretty fast which is nice. I just wish it at least had a display so I know how fast its spinning. It does feel very hollow and plasticy. There isn't much weight to this and it feels kinda cheap. Overall this is a decent stir plate if you're on a budget. It works and gets the job done but it does not feel very robust and is pretty bare bones. Its probably one of the cheaper magnetic stir plates you will find but you get what you pay for. Its good enough but I would be surprised if it lasted throughout the rest of my PhD.

The LAB FOUAVE Magnetic Stirrer is a budget-friendly option that works well enough for casual use. While it's not lab-grade, it performs adequately for simple mixing tasks. At this price point, its a good deal for basic stirring needs. Works well with other magnetic stir rods as well. When I first turned it on it made an awful sound and would not spin, I ended up removing the feet and unscrewing the screws under the feet to open the unit up. Inside I found that the cable that goes to the control knob was blocking the motion of the motor, I simply bent the cable so it was unlikely to move up towards the motor, taped it in place then closed it up and it works great. Clearly the cable should have been secured in the factory but the fix was super easy and took about 3 minutes.
