Have used these for small leaks in plumbing and to repair garden tool handles. They can be used as non-slip handles on any too like hammers and even to repair handles on pots and pans. I cannot say whether or not this tape is oven safe but it can be useful in any home. Will definitely buy again!!

I have use this tape on wire and things If want to make a make it water resistant cover wrap it tight ,after wrapping ,it take a couple of days to really seal , it is a good tape basically stretch and seal ,get it tight, to get it off your need to cut it its a one time use

These rolls of silicone tape adhere fine & have grip, but you won't get as much as you get with Tommy Tape, which I couldn't find. I haven't compared prices, so no idea if these are a good price for how much you get.

Not sure how this got developed or why, but it's fairly mind-blowing stuff. It's not stickyunless you let it touch itself. Then it sort of "merges" into itself with a really difficult-to-separate bond that's not adhesive-based, so it ends up being waterproof, flex-proof, etc. All *kinds* of applications have come up around the house from electrical and cord repairs to sealing outside pipes. That this stuff isn't sold at hardware stores is criminal, it's pretty amazing.

I gotta say that at first I was really disappointed by it's small size. It reminded me of another purchase. But on closer inspection, it is smaller and thinner than self fusing tapes I've used in the past, but you know, those were too thick for smaller wires and connectors and really, most things. This is thin enough that you can roll it over a 16 ga wire and if you can pull a little, it'll fasten on tightly. Just great. I could never do that with the heavy duty kind that will hold up a muffler if you wrap it real good. I bought it when it was on late night TV, "as seen on TV", and I got enormous rolls in all these colors for the same price. So that's why I expected more. However, inflation is. Anyway, I had to put in a new water heater but it was taller and the exhaust tube had to curve and go up. So all this large HOT tubing needed support. I got out the red roll and my brother and I wrapped that 6" tubing so many times and zi got used to how it gained strength the tighter you pull. I think I still have some left over, which is crazy because we wrapped that until each piece is connected firmly and sit tight to each following piece, and all that so stiff that it can't be pulled down. This stuff is not nearly as strong but as I said, the size is a blessing in both sizes really. This is the same fusing tape. If you've never seen this type of self fusing tape, I'll tell you about it. I took 2 pieces and laid them on each other crosswise. Instantly, I could not separate the 2 pieces of tape. I got a knife to see if I could cut it along the seam. There is no seam, none at all. I cut where one should be with a very sharp razor and I couldn't make it go straight. There simply was no longer 2 pieces of tape. There was one goofy looking experiment al piece of tape with damage inflicted by me on it, but it really and truly becomes one piece. I think it's fascinating. A really fantastic invention. This would not fix a pipe with water pressure in it. However, the larger stuff will seal if and only if, you wrap enough layers tightly enough and consistently enough around the entire gash or hole to overcome the pressure inside AT EVERY POINT AROUND THE PERFORATION. Those that complain that it doesn't work ain't doing it right, period. That's not this tape. Well, if the tube is 1/4" poly tubing or a copper line tapped into a water line to send to a water filter, Maybe this tape could handle the pressure, because the pressure is a lbs per sq inch, or grams per sq cm. The square cm in a tiny hole in a tiny tube with pressure inside requires a tiny pressure to overcome the pressure from a hole or leak. Oddly, it doesn't matter how big the hole is. The force required to overcome the inner pressure is the same. It's only the volume of the leak that changes but we've got to do exactly the same job in each case and that is to overcome the pressure inside the tube. It's the same force as if the tube were larger tube too.So why'd I bring up all the tiny business? Because, since the tube is tiny, you need less tape to tightly wind enough tape on the tube and do so tightly enough to create a force that will completely overcome the pressure inside the tube, AT THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE it will be exposed to. When it's a large tube, you've really got to pull hard on the tape and cover the hole consistently enough or maybe just persistently enough, like my first experience with the big tape on the big vent tubes on the top of a water heater.I didn't have a clue it could be pulled so hard. Also, I think some people read "self FUSING" tape and believe that the tape is supposed to fuse itself TO THE PIPE. NO. THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. You've got to clean the crud off, maybe sand the surface so it's not too gouged up to create a seal by means of pressure and flexibility alone. There's no adhesive to gunk up your car wiring, or anything. The adhesive won't hold up over time unless it's epoxy. Ok, so if you've got a pipe that's both gouged and punctured and let's add some deformity to it. First, try to make the tube round. Second, patch the gouging with something. It depends on the depth and size of the gouging. If it's a shallow cut, you can fill it with minute epoxy and it won't run out of control too bad. just sand it smooth and try again. Ok, bad ones, JB Weld is great, but if the pipe is in any position, the epoxy will run. The set time is long but if there's a lot to do that's a blessing. What I do is put an appropriate amount of epoxy on the sticky side of good cloth medical tape, or do both, out a small amount in the goug and a small amount on the tape and place the tape on the pipe so the epoxy fills the gouge and keep wrapping tightly. Feel around and feel for dents, then fill dents with another epoxy dabbed tape, a dab in the shape of the dent and fill the dent as you wrap the tape. Feel around and smooth it out and then let it set overnight. Then, take THIS THINNER TAPE, and pull tightly around to overlap the edge of the tape wit...
