Works great, just be careful with water pressure

We are using these to replace the bulky black plastic irrigation filters that leak after 1 month. However, my son didn't realize I had gotten a pressure regulator (brass, 35-45 psi) to put upstream to protect this filter and after several uses with an irrigation timer shutting (quickly), the side of this filter blew out. Thankfully we were nearby so could shut the water off quickly. Our normal water pressure is pretty high so now we are using these (4 of them) with no issues so far with the brass regulator upstream of this filter. I wish they could supply a finer mesh to preserve my irrigation hoses longer but it is a give and take with DIY irrigation.

Stopped my impact sprinkler from clogging

Seems to be a good balance between filtering and flow restriction. You have to remove the bowl to clean, but I find that I have to do that frequently on the sediment filters that claim to be "spin down" cleaning filters also, so that is not an issue at all. Actually easier to clean that most of those and it is a much coarser mesh so it does not clog as easily. I find that it works better than the finer mesh as it gets the stuff that is big enough to clog my sprinkler, but does not reduce pressure as much or clog as quickly.

Perfect if Adding Pump to Wringer Washer

My wringer washer which uses gravity to drain wash water. Decided to attach a Wayne PC2 water pump and found myself taking the pump apart & cleaning it continually (very time consuming). Attaching this item to strain the wash-water before the Wayne PC2 pump made everything easier. Will undoubtedly add years to the life of the water pump. Ive wasted so much time taking pump apart that pump to clear out blockages. Now I just twist off the filter case, rinse the mesh, and pop it back on. Wish I knew about these years ago!
