The adhesive force of these (I got the130lb version) seems as advertised...it is VERY difficult to pull these directly away from an ideal metal surface...I've only able to remove them by angling them from one side. So they're strong enough to hold a lot of weight, but still easy enough to remove when needed. The shear force (sliding along a surface) obviously can vary due to the level of friction on the surface but they seem more than strong enough to hold fairly heavy items on a vertical plane. For reference I was able to hang a standard sized hammer on the side of my garage fridge, which is a fairly slippery surface, on one of these, and it stayed put well enough. These were strong enough that I could locate floor joists under my hardwood, because these magnets were easily attracted to the nails in the subfloor. Ditto for finding wall studs through sheetrock. This will come in extremely handy for home improvement tasks. I'm glad I bought these. They will be very useful to have around. If you're going on a cruise and need to hang items on a vertical surface these are probably the ones you want (130 lb). Anything less may slide down the wall with anything but the lightest weight items.

These are very powerful and durable. They can hold various items. We have them on the fridge and hang kitchen utensils, pin mail, and even lunch boxes on them. These hooks are great!

These are very sturdy. The magnet really attaches and you have to tug to get it off. Perfect size and great value for the money.

These are some very very strong magnets. I have them on the side of my refrigerator and you can use them to hang papers up or I also have colander hanging from them. They could serve multiple purposes, but they work very well.
