Works well for taking things out of the oven or off the grill! Just like anything though, if you hang onto the hot item for a bit you will feel the heat start to come through!

These gloves are a miracle! I used them while camping to contain a large fire in a small firepit. And also to cook pies in pie irons. I didn't need to use these gloves a lot, but when I did they outperformed my expectations!

Hubby loves these for grilling! No more singed hair on the backs of his hands and arms! They're very grippy for holding onto things. Heat protection is excellent. I spend a lot of time cooking/baking in the kitchen. I have developed some mobility issues as I age. Lifting my creations into or out of the oven continues to grow difficult. These gloves help me grip my heavy items with greater confidence. They are very thick and sturdy. I have laundered them several times and they are still like new. I use them daily. They are sturdy and very well made.

They're a little big and the sleeve part is fairly long if you don't want to roll it up, but they do their job well. I just don't like only having clumsy oven mitts when you're picking up bowls or handles, lids, etc.. that can be tricky to grab without fingers. They seem to work well, I have only used in the kitchen with hot skillets and baking pans, etc. When you're picking things up it works best if you make sure to grab where the red dots are, the heat will travel through the black cloth parts much faster, but still give you a few seconds of resistance before you start feeling it.
