Orbit 55018 Plastic Impact Head for Garden, 1/2-Inch...

Orbit is a second tier irrigation manufacturer but the quality as as good as the name brands. This solved my irrigation issue. In the reviews I see some where the sprinkler will not return, check to be sure you do not have too much pressure essentially "locking" the head fro turning.

These sprinkler heads have a great price, however EVERYTHING on them is plastic. That would be OK if tolerances were tighter, but I found that there is NO POSSIBLE WAY to adjust the stream on these sprinklers as one can with other, similar heads. For instance, the screw that tightens in order to interrupt the water stream wobbles around. I can adjust it so it causes the spray to spread water where I want, but after 10 seconds of vibration from the impact wing, the screw loses its position and all the water just shoots past it. I tried positioning it so it was too far in, thinking maybe if it loosened some, it would be spot-on. All that accomplished was dumping gallons of water around the base of the sprinkler because it never loosened. I tried for over a half hour to adjust a single sprinkler. No success. I even tried using Teflon tape on the little screw to help it stay in place. Still, no luck. I could find no combination of screw adjustment and hood piece adjustment that would cover the grass area like the old head it was supposed to replace used to do. Just as soon as I can get some replacement sprinkler heads ( brass ones this time), I'm returning the 5-pack of these wasted plastic, poorly-constructed heads. I'd definitely NOT recommend these for anyone.

Works great. Installed one already and holding one for spare. No where does it say 1/2 inch female fitting but thats the size.

This impact sprinkler works great! I found they're a tad difficult to adjust the side to side pattern because the settings are tight. Happy with the water flow adjustment, as it works well even with low water pressure. Sturdy and looks like they will last a while even with the sun beating down on them. Happy with my purchase.
