I grow many plants from seeds, so these clear pots are perfect for observing root growth and knowing when to transplant. The pots have side opening offers good drainage and come with saucers, ideal for orchids, amaryllis, and plants where roots are visible. I have been using these outside with the harsh Colorado sun and these still holds up well.

These are the perfect size to transport propagated pieces to soil, that's what I use them for. They also come with saucers which is something less to worry about. The plastic is actually strong and sturdy. For the amount and price it's just worth having.

These plant pots are very well designed and constructed. They did use good grade material- lending durability to this six pack of planters. As one would expect, it has drainage holes and saucers. Sometimes those two are lacking. I decided on the white set, and this weekend we plan on planting some more orchids. The six pot plants have varying sizes. They do give you great options with this set. The material used for these plant pots is PP resin material and non-toxic, formaldehyde free. This definitely is important. I ordered the Clear Plant Pots for Indoor Plants, 3 Pack 4.7 inch to replant a few orchids. These were the perfect size as unlike other house plants repotting to a bigger pot is not the answer. I know most growers what big beautiful plants, however putting them in too big a post too soon will do the exact opposite, and stunt the growth, not increase it. Orchids grow best when their roots are restricted, and the plant is able to focus on leaf growth and flowering rather than root development. The pot size is very important when repotting an orchid. My advice is either take the orchid out, carefully remove the old dead roots, then put back in the same pot with new medium. On occasion I will got up one size but no more. Unlike other type of house plants where the outcome is to increase the root growth. Not orchids. going to too big of a pot for an orchid will require more growing medium, which will hold excess moisture, and this will increase the possibility of root rot. if most of the roots are not touching the side of the pot, it will basically stunt growth rather than boosting it. Lean more towards watering an orchid like a cactus, not a regular house plant. These pots didnt get 5 stars, as although they pots have many holes on the bottom a couple of extra holes on the side would be an improvement, in my opinion. Also, milky clear plastic is not the most attractive pot to put your orchids in. Dont get me wrong, they are effective, just not very eye catching. We place our orchids in bigger containers for color. If you do put your orchids in large pretty containers, be sure the orchid is well drained after watering before putting them back into the container. All in all I would recommend these orchid pots.
