I like to buy my rice in bulk and then split it up between different packages and get as much of the air out of it as possible. This helps it last longer and not go rancid so quickly. These silica gel packs help with that. They are odor free and are so easy to use. They slip in the package almost unnoticeably and don't take up too much room. As I have said on previous reviews of different items, I am always looking for cheap and good "Rechargeable" silica beads to use inside my dry boxes where I keep my 3D printing filament to try and keep them as dry as possible in between prints. These were particularly good for me as I normally use 50grams of silica on every dry box, so I just had to use one packet each and was set. I have printed special silica containers so that they fit on the dry boxes and are easy to "recharge" after some time. What I do is that I have very small humidity sensors inside the boxes and when I see the humidity is going higher than I want, I get the silica containers out and put them in the oven at 200F for one hour. I have done this with this silica, and it has worked great. I have no complains and I find them to be a great value for the money. 5 stars
