The spring is pretty sturdy. It opens and closes easily, and the lock mechanism is secure. The blades are super sharp. It's easy to use and to cut, some springs are a little stiff and makes it harder to cut with. They're also nice and compact.

These pruning shears are perfect for trimming and shaping my garden plants. The blades are sharp and provide clean cuts, reducing plant damage. The ergonomic handles are comfortable to use for extended periods. Theyre a great addition to my gardening tools.

We have a lot of geraniums that need to be dead-headed, and a good pair of pruning shears to use is a lot better than trying to snap the dying flowers off by hand. These are the most perfect sized hold in your hand pruning shears you could ask for. These pruning shears fit very comfortably in your hand, and the spring action allows these to open and close with ease. The longer pruning "snout" will let you go deep into the plant to cut the flower stems as close to the branch as possible. One warning. These are VERY sharp. I forgot to wear my gloves when dead-heading and got distracted and snipped part of my finger along with the flower stem. Yup. Won't be doing that again. Pricing is more than fair for these, and if you take care of these, they should last you many years. Best investment made this gardening season, and I have passed on the older shorter snouted shears I once used. These won't be leaving my garden tools arsonal.

I am very much pleased with the sharpness of these shears. They are easy to use and leave a nice clean cut. They are great for me, but they don't fit my husband's larger hands so easily. Also, the safety lock on the pair I received is off center, but it does hold okay. I have a variety of pruning shears, and these are slightly different in style than any others I have, so it is a nice addition to my gardening tools. They are not the highest quality, but for the price, they are worth it.

I'm very pleased with this pair of shears and recommend. The blades came sharp, and lightly oiled; and each blade is held in place by a two screws with captured nuts. Blades are long and narrow allowing to get in between tight branches and leaves and just snip what you want with a 2.5" reach. Minimal effort is required to clip lighter branches, flowers, stems back one handed. The return spring is strong and consistent; the blades don't bind in the closed position further allowing easy one handed use. The pivot pin has a standard nut on the back for adjustment over the course of using; unlike more expensive heavy duty shears I've owned that didn't have an easy means to tighten or adjust the pivot pin. The handle fits well in my hand (men's large), and the locking feature creates a large handle loop allowing me to store this item very easily and in many places; either a pegboard, tree branch, portable garden bed handle, water spigot. I recommend.
