Was building an FPV drone kit and I wanted to read atmospheric metrics in order to mod it to go higher up. I spent a lot of time looking for a product that was affordable and that I could connect to my computer via raspberry pi. I was able to find these Shillehtek ones which were high quality and easily compatible with my set up. The price tag on these is 100% worth it, I've tried the other products and found they were subpar. This is exactly what I was looking for, at a reasonable pricepoint, and the quality I needed.

I love this sensor, it is very easy to use and is very well-documented for programming purposes. It's pretty accurate, I have put it on a large amount of projects and I would say it has an accuracy of around a foot for the altitude sensor. The temperature sensor was giving me weird readings at first, but works great now. 10/10

Great product - accurate and easy to use with Arduino!

This temperature and pressure sensor is very easy to use and seems to be accurate, at least to the extent that I can tell. The only documentation provided in the description on ZeeBooth is the pin identification which is also printed on the board itself, but that should be all you need. This module has a 5th 3.3 V pin which can be used with low voltage boards, but it apparently has a voltage regulator and internal level shifter so it can be used directly at 5 volts at Vcc leaving the 5th pin unconnected. An obvious convenience of this module in addition to both 3.3. and 5V compatibility is that the header is already soldered so for quick evaluation and testing with a breadboard it couldnt get any easier. As usual the Adafruit library is a good choice if you are using an Arduino and that library worked perfectly with this device. Like the Arduino, its always nice to support Adafruit by purchasing their own products, but the BMP180 has been discontinued by Adafruit, so this is a fine alternative. The temperature readings I got were very close to thermister readings on two different multimeters, and within about 0.2 degrees when compared with a high precision NIST calibrated thermometer. I dont have a means to compare the pressure value but the reading was in close agreement with the weather bureau report for my area for whatever that is worth. The signal was reasonably stable and temperature response time was within a few seconds although I wouldnt necessarily agree that it was quick. But for a simple and reasonably accurate sensor for temperature and barometric pressure this module should work fine.

Summary: This little sensor is great. It measure temperature and pressure quite well with little jitter. With the correct interface to I2C, projects that need temp/pressure can easily be done. There are no draw-backs or problems encountered with this sensor. Highly recommended for either temp or pressure measurements ------- Looking for getting this to work with Arduino was simple. Only 2 packages were required: BusIO Adafruit BMP180 Adafruit 5V to VCC pin *Search for BMP180 for additional help/documentation from Once installed and simple code execution I was up and running in minutes and measuring. The response time of the sensor is very impressive. Attached is an image slice of me pressing and releasing on the pressure part showing the response. Accuracy seems to be there as well, this was reading 29.7 and my weather station is 30. Differences of indoor/outdoor could be the reason and not a concern as it's 1% error diff. Temperature was reading 23.5C and was expecting 24 which is great to see. This is very sensitive and was getting small heat changes from different fans/areas on my desk. The reaction for temp is a lot slower than the pressure so that needs to have consideration. It took about 14 seconds to go from 24C to 32C between my fingers but for most applications this is still really good reaction. This I would say is an extreme temp change not typical as it's touch and not airflow. Looking at the footprint of the board I am concerned about putting a screw in the mount points since it's so close to the sensor. A 3d printed snap holder, or careful glue, is likely required as I have concerns with shorting the contacts or putting unneeded contact on the sensor. Technically speaking, this sensor is marked obsolete. However it does not in any way impact the capabilities, or expectations, of the sensor or should shy you away from purchasing. I look forward to using this sensor in many projects from sampling fan pressure capabilities to other detection abilities and will likely buy another to get differential measurements. Update: Added screen capture of testing a vacuum which stated 12kpa. Sensor did great in verifying that!
