It's not something I use every time I clear snow, so it's easy to overlook. However, when I do remember to use it, it saves me a ton of time and frustration. This chute snow clearing was quite useful and everyone who had a snow thrower should make a practice of using it. I have heard many stories of injury when people using the wrong tools to clear your chute. This clearing tool works well and durable. I had a craftsman but the this design mounting bracket did not fit my original mounting holes. An option for me was to drill a few holes and I was still debating if I would need this tool on the machine while using it or I could walk back to the garage and retrieving it when needed.

Everyone with a snowblower absolutely needs one of these. You don't want to go reaching into your snowblower to clean it out. Shutting it off can be a pain in the butt so I always used to just use a stick with the one snow blower. My other snow blower bigger one has one of these mounted on it so I saw this. I got it for the small snow thrower technically and it took a little bit to mount it. The plastic housing flexed too much so every time I would push and push and push the tabs one grab hold. I had to take the plastic housing off so I could hold it from behind and push the tabs in. But once I did that it snapped on fits nicely. Looks good, it's functional

This replaces my wooden broom handle. It has a couple of advantages: 1) It attaches to the snow blower to be there when needed 2) It has a small shovel end that can slice through and loosen stuck snow more easily Disadvantages: If not an exact replacement or you don't have a model with the correct sized holes: *You need a drill and a place on the snowblower to drill 2 holes of some size to mount. *No instructions or template to do this (Size hole?). *Not much thought given to the mount on a snowblower without existing holes for this clamp. A clamp for a pipe might make it easy to mount on the handle. I did find a plastic cross piece between the left and right handles that could be used to mount the mini-shovel. It should have an easier universal mount than to drill holes in your machine. I also had to increase the drill size gradually until the tabs popped through the holes snugly (with a rubber mallet). 4-stars - not impressed by mount design. If you have this design already it would be an easy swap. Also seems like it should be half this cost but my estimates on pricing these days is clumsy at best.
