Im new to gardening & needed a good trimmer for my plants. These work great. There was no strain on my hands. Comfortable zhrip

This is my second one. I am a retired nurseryman so used to daily using pruners. Just keep this well oiled and it will last for years. I love the straight jaws for lighter material. Don't twist when cutting.

These Pruning Shears work as expected and are an excellent value. The only thing I'll call out is that the attached strap at the bottom that holds these closed will eventually wear and likely tear. I suppose a rubber band or even a zip-tie could work at that point. Certainly not a concern considering the value - these do cut well on my tomato and pepper plants, or other stems like flowers (roses) etc. Should not use on woodier-type stems so you don't harm the blades.

They're easy to use, sharp, and get into small places when you need them to. They are comfy, don't cause hand strain. I don't use them for heavy woody stems, though they would cut them, because I like to keep one of my clippers nice and sharp for the more tender stems. Anything up to rose stems is fine. One bit of caution, don't leave them in your back pocket then get in your car or sit on furniture. They WILL poke a hole in just about any upholstry.

I purchased both the model K77A and the K17A. While both are useful, the K77A is the far better tool in terms of design and performance. Key differences are: >The K17A uses a simple coil spring that is not nearly as smooth or durable as the multi coil spring in the K77A > The clip closure on the K77A is much easier to use (especially if you have garden gloves on) than the fabric loop closure on the K17A > The blades are fastened with a screw and nut on the K77A which allows for adjustment. The blades are fastened with a non-removable rivet on the K17A > The handles on the K77A are more comfortable than those on the K17A. Both have sharp blades, cut well, and are very useful for tasks such as fruit picking, non-woody stem trimming, and other such tasks. But, unless there's a major price difference, the K77A is the way to go. Five stars for the K77A; 3.5 stars for the K17A.
