THIRDREALITY keeps bringing the Hits!

Home Assistant is my automation system. I found THIRDREALITY a couple of years ago when I had one hallway in my house where none of the other manufacturer's sensors could provide a module that worked consistently. It's probably because of some noise between my Zigbee net and some other home devices. BUT I tried a THIRDREALITY sensor, and it immediately worked and has worked consistently since. So when I saw this new THIRDREALITY temperature and humidity sensor I wanted to get it for my HA system. It paired immediately to my Home Assistant ZHA network and started providing data. It's been rock solid since installation. I did an extensive test of my various thermometers, both manual and automated last year, and have one AcuRite manual model that I found to be my most accurate thermometer. When I compare this THIRDREALITY module to that reference, it comes in within a half degree, which is more than adequate for my purposes. This is the "Lite" version which lacks the digital display of the "full" version, but if you're using it for home automation like I am you likely don't need an external display. Definitely another winner from THIRDREALITY!

Fails to pair with multiple zigbee hubs.

Unfortunately this device, or at least the one I received does not work as intended. I have several other thirdreality brand zigbee devices and all have been flawless so I was surprised to see that this device refused to pair with not only my primary zigbee coordinator for Zigbee2MQTT but also a spare zigbee hub I keep as a backup.

Easy to use Zigbee hygrometer!

I was wanting an additional hygrometer to place in our basement area that I could integrate into my Home Assistant setup, so I was very happy to give this product a try. I already have some Zigbee products that I use from the same Third Reality brand (smart plugs and motion sensor), so I had high hopes for this product as well, and so far, it has not disappointed. Setup was very easy. I use Zigbee2MQTT in my Home Assistant setup, and as soon as I had the sensor in pairing mode (it automatically enters into it once you remove the plastic on the battery) and enabled joining in Zigbee2MQTT, the sensor was automatically found and added. It came up as a supported device immediately upon joining, and I didn't have to do anything additional on my end to use this product. On the Home Assistant side, everything came up as normal, and I was able to read in the temperature and the humidity right away. I have a dehumidifier in the basement for the summer months, so the humidity reading will be another data point for me to automatically turn on/off the dehumidifer. Placing the sensor was also easy with the included adhesive; I just placed the adhesive on the battery cover and then the wall; I haven't had it long enough to know how well it will last, but it seems to be stuck to the wall pretty well. Overall, I would recommend this product!

Good stand alone sensor. Little large due to AAA batteries

There are other temp/humidity sensors in this price range that are smaller and use the CR2032 batteries. I already have the 3rd reality temp/humidity sensor with the display and I put this one next to it to see and they are within .5 of each other so I would say they are decently accurate for what you pay. This device connected without any issues to my Home Assistant ZHA and the temp reading seems to stabilize after being outside in the Texas heat when delivered in about 4 hours. Overall I would hope the battery life is significantly longer than a CR2032 style sensor, but only time will tell on that.

Looking for an expensive solution for crawl space monitoring.

This was easy to set up and integration with my SmartThings environment, others I tried did not work at all or kept going off line. I tested it at 6F (-14C) in my freezer and to 110F (43C) in an oven, both using a temp probe on a digital Fluke I have with acceptable results.
