I was surprised and pleased to find that this Tooetoy SP1106 Pool Skimmer Vacuum Plate is the exact same model that I have been using for years for my swimming pool vacuum. Because of this, it fits perfectly with my vacuum hose. It replaced my old plate, because after over 20 years of use, the gasket finally wore out. It works well, with very good suction in my skimmer, and the gasket on the plate is essential to (vacuum) seal it in place. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone with a pool vacuum.

didnt fit my pool

it didnt fit my pool because i needed the square insert but it worked for my sisters pool. she said it made cleaning the pool so much easier. so make sure you get the right shaped one lol.

Sturdy plastic and o-ring sticks out far to provide good seal.

This product feels so much stronger than the piece I originally purchased at the pool store. Also, the rubber gasket (see picture) sits high above the plastic which will probably extend the life of this product, my old product had little rubber above the plastic and it wore away fairly quickly. Feels like a product that will last. Thank You.

Couldn't get a suction - likely user error

This item showed up excactly as described and pictured and is made of sturdy materials. I'm new to vacuuming a pool with a hose since we have a small in-ground pool that can usually be cleaned with a handheld pool vacuum. However, thanks to an alge bloom, I now know how to use a hose vacuum set up too! All that said, I couldn't figure out how to get a suction with this. My guess is that I have the wrong size/style skimmer basket. I ended up vacuuming without it, but I also felt fully confident that I would not be sending any pool debris into the skimmer line that would cause a blockage. For long term use, I wish I could have gotten this vacuum plate to work.
