I ditched my old skimmer as soon as I tried this one! I know it says for leaves but I got it to remove little bugs that manage to make it in to my screened pool. The skimmer has an ultra fine net & kind of a belly instead of the flat type of skimmer which lets all the fine stuff float off or through the net of the net. The water flows over or across the skimmer & the debris gathers in the bottoms of the net. Its reduced my skimming time & i love that its got a flexible ledge on the front for scooping up dead bugs one the bottom of the pool. Whenever this skimmer wears out Ill be buying another.

The mesh fabric on this net works wonderfully! It catches even the tiny bugs and helps me keep my pool looking great! Very satisfied with the price and quality of the product.

I have only got to use this skimmer once so far but I really like the extra netting for debris to sit in while you scoop. It worked really well for the stuff on the bottom. It also fit the pole I already had like it said it would.

It was smaller than expected. My fault I didn't read dimensions closely. However, because it is small and all plastic it will not likely last long attached to my skimming pole. The pressure is already putting stress cracks in it less than a week old. The mesh is very fine though and picks up small debris. This would be perfect for a spa where you could just hand hold the skimmer.

Ive had two of these now. Theyre great for the price, but the ultra fine mesh is just as they describe it, ultra fine. Its great for removing fine matter in the pond, but it isnt great at removing large quantities of large matter, such as leaves. The water doesnt pass through the mesh quickly enough if you move the net rapidly, so a kind of bow wave forms in front of the net, acting to push leaves out of the way rather than capturing them. I wish the seller had the same net design in a lesser fine mesh, so the net could be moved more rapidly through the water. As it is however, this net must be moved very slowly. If youre good with that, then this one works well enough.
